burning man 2023 explained
- burning man is a festival for rich white people who want to smoke weed and trip acid in the nevada desert and pretend they're one with the earth. it's not a music festival or anything that serves any purpose, it's just vibes
- a hundred year flash flood just hit nevada, including where burning man is being held this very weekend
- dry desert ground can't suddenly absorb water, let alone that much water all at once, so now burning man is a giant mud pit with THICK deep mud
- nobody can get in or out, so they closed all the roads
- FEMA just told the *73,000 PEOPLE* stranded at burning man to shelter in place, ration food and water, and essentially "you're on your own, good luck"
- the port-o-potties are overflowing into the mud they're all walking around in
- the official CDC twitter account tweeted (and then deleted) that there's a confirmed ebola outbreak at burning man, but people are pretty sure it's just trench illnesses. like actual WWI trench illnesses
- earlier this week, climate activists protested against burning man, and all the attendees drove right past them (and yelled at them, and tried to get them arrested, etc)
- there's a private jet at burning man where people can join the mile high club. it just takes off and lands all day and lets people fuck in it. no word yet on the fuck plane's current status/location

It's kind of tragic how homophobia affects insecure men.
Like sometimes they want to experiment with a bit of anal and instead of just buying a sex toy and some lube like a normal person, they instead shove random objects up their ass that inevitably get stuck and then they try to get them out by themselves which makes things worse and then they lie to doctors about it and like this all leads to all kinds of extra complications like internal damage, risk of infections, bleeding, the fall of Yugoslavia, etc.
Come on guys, just buy a dildo. It's way safer and it leads to way fewer problems.
"all psychiatrists do is give you pills" yeah it's as if a lot of mental health treatment is a combination of medication along with talk therapy and you go to a different doc for each specialty. that post was not pitting them against each other ....
I know it's really hard to secure a therapist but I really wish there was more discussion about finding the right therapist. Not all therapists are created equal and they specialize in different things.
If you only saw one for a few sessions and it didn't click that doesn't mean therapy isn't "for you". to get the best experience you unfortunately have to hit up several therapists who focus on the shit you specifically wanna work on and then do a usually free assessment call to see if you click. It's a whole process but if you wanna work through tough shit you may find yourself going thru several therapists throughout your life until you find a therapist that really works well with you, that's very normal and not "doctor shopping".
