Thursday, April 20th: Hello everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman who is in desperate need of help, as I'm struggling to get groceries and keep my utilities on.

As most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling financially these past few years due to Covid-19 and my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under continuous reviews, which is due to my worsening mental/physical health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. After a lengthy health assessment, I have been declared not to be fit for work, however, I am still waiting for the outcome of my ADP application for Disability, which is taking a while to be processed.

I know this is a difficult time for everyone, and I'm so sorry to be asking for help again, but I still desperately need some as my PayPal is overdrawn again due to charge-backs and I don't receive my welfare until the 28th.

My roomate and I have had a lot we've needed help with lately. I need surgery and need to leave our moldy living space. However we've made little progress to this, and we need to keep the progress we have while avoiding crisis today.

My roommate and I need to get out of the moldy place we are living in. We intend to sue our landlord after but we need to get somewhere safe, and stay fed until we can do that. We have money for long term housing and dental surgery but can't take out of those things as it took us over a year to save anything for them.

I had made a post for this, but didn't make much progress, and a lot changed in two weeks including some unexpected urgent costs. Now our original goal is no longer accurate. This goal covers transportation needs, food, and finding somewhere else for a little bit. This is urgent bc I have reason to think our landlord may try and physically remove us if we cannot afford to leave.

This is the hardest thing I am going to have to write because my world has fallen apart.

My mum has died.

She was my everything. She sacrificed so much to have me and my siblings and raise us as a disabled single parent. She has been my carer my entire life and got me through even my lowest points.

I’m honestly only still alive because of her. I couldn’t hurt myself too badly since I never wanted her to lose me.

She’s the person who loved me the most and kept me stable. Without her I don’t know what I am gonna do.

I’m asking for money to help just ease everything. I have £200 to last me til the end of the month and without my mum’s financial help I am gonna struggle. Even if you don’t want to give me money, I have an amazon list of things to help distract me set up.

Homeless Family Hit With COVID; Please Help?

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!

So my mom was taken to the hospital today (4/4/23) after calling her doctor to discuss symptoms. Turns out she has COVID and pneumonia, and it looks like I've probably got COVID as well (I have a lot of the same symptoms). We're going to make sure tomorrow with a visit to our local clinic.

We need to keep my mom under quarantine for at least a week, and my son and I too, but we only have our hotel room until Friday morning. I have enough for maybe Saturday, too, but we need help. We need to have enough to keep the room until next Wednesday and to get food and groceries delivered (we have a microwave but not a functioning refrigerator in this room) for the next few days.
