Finally, I’ve finished a knitted gift I started over a year ago! This is "Byzantine Gold" by Diana Rozenshteyn which I made out of Malabrigo Mora, a 100% mulberry silk yarn.

Hey everyone! I’ve just uploaded a new free pattern called Cozy Cowl. The pattern is straightforward and simple and was created to teach my beginning knitting classes. It could be a great tool for anyone wanting to teach a friend how to knit too.

This fall I’ve been making tons of scented candles with a recipe out of one of my favorite books The Year of Cozy by Adrianna Adarme. I found all of my ceramics at hand-me-down stores around town. They make the cutest “just because” gifts. 

I’ve been requested multiple times to re-released my free crochet Poke’ball pattern, so here it is in spirit of the Poke’mon Go craze. It’s very simple to create and makes a great gift for Poke’mon lovers. Have fun!

I’ve finished the Cookie Monster poncho for my cousin using the yarn Touch by Sirdar. I started with 3 stitches working in all stockinette stitch while increasing 2 stitches every right side row, binding off midrow for the neck hole, and then decreasing back to 3 stitches. 😆 The bottom photo was just for fun.

I want to know who shorn Cookie Monster to make this yarn. 😆 Soon my cousin will have a 100% Cookie Monster poncho.

I wanted to make a hat and use the Madeline Tosh dk, so here we go. Right as my dad saw this one, he’d claimed it. And since it’s his birthday next month, it’s his. I didn’t use a pattern for this one, so I will probably write one up in a few different sizes. We’ll see. 

This is from last night, knitting and watching Netflix with my boyfriend. I taught him how to knit recently. ☺️

You can guess what I'm getting into next. I'm learning embroidery with the book 'How to Embroider' by Susie Johns. These 'What Delilah Did' cross stitch and embroidery books are adorable. I really want to add embroidery to my finished sewing projects, so here we go.

When you’re knitting that ball of fingering weight yarn that never ends

Here are two little acorns I made this week from the pattern Acorn Ornament by Elizabeth Murphy. I really like this artist. She focuses on writing patterns for small gift items. I used the yarn Cascade 220 Heathers for these guys.

I’ve started the Boneyard Shawl by Stephen West for an upcoming class I’m teaching for learning basic shaping techniques in knitting. I’m using one of my favorite yarns, Malabrigo Sock in col 801 ‘Botichelli Red’.
