Until one day they are proven wrong. I've been reading so much langst some bamf Lance to soften the pain.
Wow, it’s been a hot second since I’ve posted anything and I don’t know how often I’ll be posting anymore because I have a full time job now. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! 💙
Sometimes Lance was jealous of the other’s powers. He didn’t have Keith or Shiro’s ability to control elements and he didn’t have the ability to communicate with technology like Pidge or Hunk. You weren’t really able to even see his power like you could with them since he was never really able to turn his powers off like they could. He didn’t give off a glow when he used his powers and it didn’t drain him unless he tried to increase his strength or reach.
Even on Earth he never really felt the urge to tell everyone about his abilities, just like he wasn’t really interested in others. Not to mention the fact that other people usually showed off their powers far before he had the chance to even ask them.
“So, what are your powers, Lance?” Pidge asked as that sat after finishing their dinner one night.
“Hm?”
“Your powers. Keith and Shiro are elementals and me and Hunk are empaths, so what do you do?”
“I have really good luck,” he answered with a shrug before returning his gaze to his plate. He missed the amused glances the others sent to each other.
After that, they never really asked him about his powers or how they were used, not even from Pidge which surprised him the most. Anytime he would even bring it up, they would just laugh and wave him off like they would a fly. He knew that his power was unbelievable, he knew that just from his own family and what they tried to learn about it. He never met anyone that had powers like him, but he couldn’t be the only one.
Even so, he never thought that them not taking him seriously would lead somewhere.
“Victory is a good look on you ..”
