one time in my last job a woman came up to the register explaining that when she bought stuff a day prior the clerk forgot to scan a pair of socks worth less than €2 and it was only right for her to bring it back to the store and pay for it proper. unfortunately my manager was directly next to me at the time and took over the register to handle this serious issue. the receipt she had brought with her said which register performed the previous transaction that forgot the socks and the manager could find out who was running that till on that day. poor dude had a manager yell at him for a half hour about how much of an incompetent fuck up he was, he left the job immediately after but i couldnt tell you if he quit or was fired
i think about this moment a lot. the customer seemed like a sweet woman with only good intentions and when she paid for the socks she had a look on her face that said "i feel good because i did the right thing". and a guy lost his job because of a pair of socks. if shit like this ever happens to you and a clerk forgets to scan an item just think of it as a small blessing or that you had good luck or something. keep it.

uBlock Origin obviously.
SponsorBlock is the other one I've used for ages and it is great. It depends on user-sourced info, so it won't always have anything for you, especially for smaller channels, but it lets you skip over things as specific as 'don't show me the non-music bits of music videos.' But also, mostly, sponsors, and other advertising-y things that are part of the video itself.
I was introduced to Youtube Search Fixer just today and it is promising for things like 'don't force me to watch shorts in this shitty Tiktok-wannabe UI' or just 'fuck shorts entirely, actually.'
Enhancer for Youtube isn't so much doing things that would make the devs cry as just adding lots of customization options and--this is important--it lets you disable autoplay.

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year and is celebrated with harvest and fruit imagery. We often eat honey cake and dip apples in honey. It is fine to wish a Jewish person a Happy New Year or say Shanah Tovah! Which means a Good year.
Yom Kippur is the most solemn day of the year for us. We fast and abstain from wearing leather shoes, makeup, etc. Avoid wishing Jews a happy Yom Kippur as its not a happy occasion exactly. You can wish people a meaningful or a tolerable fast, if you’d like. Also don’t be surprised if Jewish people apologise for past mistakes or harm as it is a day of righting interpersonal wrongs and being sealed for the new year.

Ballister being brown is a very important part of the film. i know his skin is much lighter in the graphic novel, but as a brown person who watched the film it’s pretty obvious that they cast a Pakistani man to play him because on top of being a trans allegory, it’s also an allegory for racism. it’s intrinsic to the story told in the film.
same thing with Ambrosius being Korean. the story being told with the casting of Riz Ahmed as Ballister and Eugene Lee Yang as Ambrosius is of a brown man being framed to keep the power in the hands of white people, and of those in power using east asians (see: the model minority myth) to prop up white supremacy.
i could go on but i think you get the point. all that to say - the color of Ballister’s skin wasn’t just a choice made in passing to make the cast more diverse. same with Ambrosius. please make sure you’re representing that in your art.

So writers started writing two season shows. Just give us two seasons, Netflix. Like you promised.
Then Netflix said, oops sorry! Turns out your show didn’t premiere at #1 and the views in the first day weren’t what we wanted so we’re cancelling your second season.
What were the numbers? How many people watched our show? Netflix doesn’t say.
Then, they did something extra special. They started taking shows and splitting their first season into two halves. Inside Job was not two seasons. It was one season split in half.
Oops! Sorry! The second half of your first season didn’t do as well as the first half, so now your show is cancelled!
Why? How many people? How much money? These companies are making cash hand over fist and they refuse to tell people the truth: people loved your show. Loved it. But some corpo exec wanted an infinite money making machine. Do you know how long shows are in production for before you watch them? Years. Like, 5+, even 10+ years. And Netflix gives it less than a week before they decide whether you’re getting cancelled.

Access to toilet facilities are essential to being able to participate in public life.
It's why society was so reluctant to introduce public bathrooms for women, because before that all public bathrooms were for men only.
It's why society was so reluctant to desegregate toilets for Black people.
It's why society was and is so reluctant to create disability-accessible bathroom stalls.
If a person can't access a toilet, then it's extremely difficult to impossible for them to participate in society.
So, the best way to exclude a group of people from society without putting up a literal sign saying "x group of people not allowed" is to prevent them from accessing the bathroom.
