I know I’ve been thinking in English for years and exclusively write in English and have sold my soul to the English language because it fucks, actually, but German remains the superior language for memes. No English phrase can match the sheer hilarity of saying even something as simple as “Läuft bei dir.” The best form of humour is just pronouncing common words in a weird tone/accent that really underlines how fucking funny that word is in the first place. Making up compound words that get exponentially more ridiculous is an art. Comedy peaked at “Sweet, ein Bausparvertrag” and no translation could capture the innate comicality the German language alone adds to this statement.

obsessed w this guy on the elden ring subreddit people have been telling stories about. they were summoning for the hardest boss in the game and came across a sign for a player wearing nothing but a jar on his head called "let me solo her" and when people summon him this dude is pulling the cleanest fucking kills youve ever seen. he came forward on the subreddit and posted a gameplay vid and it is the smoothest nine minutes of elden ring on the planet
