It's the app store, specifically, that is one of the biggest problems.

Tumblr could fix all this tomorrow. It's not simply systemic. It is an active choice. Quit giving them excuses.

Tumblr absolutely can reinstate NSFW and keep the apps at the same time. They just need to make it so NSFW marked content doesn't show up in apps, which they can through proper tagging. And if it's not properly tagged by a human, the script can do it or others can report it.

But, although the apps getting banned was the trigger, a bigger reason Tumblr doesn't want to host porn anymore might be the monetisation. Certain banks and payment services refuse to have their names appear on platforms that openly host porn, especially with real people.

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

going one step further... another yarn craft term that writers should put into use is frogging. If you don’t like the project, but the yarn is good, you can frog it (take it apart) and reuse it for another project.

I think a lot of writers don’t give themselves credit for how many of their ufos have actually been frogged, ie that particular project has been abandoned, but the concept, characters, or setting has been taken and reused on a new project.

Almost all of my abandoned fanfics have been frogged. You’ll find the pieces of them in my original work

But! yes! I wholeheartedly concur. I keep “line graveyards” for works that I keep frogging and they wind up being so useful later.
