“If you’re being ignored, that’s a good time to concentrate on finding yourself and creating your own mystery.”
— Lykke Li (via goodreadss)
Do you ever wonder how many people have loved you and never told you?
Or have told you and never loved you.
fuck you both
u know that feeling deep in your tummy where u just dont feel comfy and u feel sad and sort of want to cry but not about anything specific its like your entire body is just upset and unnerved all the way to the core almost like ur just longing for something but dont know what
one time my mum was on a really bad date so she texted me telling me to come up with an excuse to get her home so i called and said i had stomach pains and she came home but her date insisted on coming with her, turns out my acting was so good that he took us straight to hospital but im glad he did because it turns out i had overdosed on pomegranates and the acid was damaging my stomach
A moment of silence for all the hot drinks forgotten until they’re cold.
My mom asked me how to screenshot on her iPhone. I laughed and then remembered she taught me how to use a spoon and a toilet.
….. This legit just humbled me
yep, keeping this one forever
“It feel like you are choking on a gun that you can’t take out of your own mouth. Your mind and your body are at war. Casualties are to be expected. I’m still amazed that I’ve survived.”
— Michelle K., Survival.
“I never believed in the optimism, the recovery of it all. And yet, there is this: I am eight years past expiration date. The scars, they fade. The hunger, she comes. And there is this: I am neither flying nor falling, rather wading in the deep, thick creases of living.”
— Michelle K., When You Are Sixteen.
“Love yourself like a lost child. Patience produces gentle handed hearts, and you will survive this. You will survive this.”
— Michelle K., Like a Child.
“You cannot take words lay them down choose which suit you best then sow the rest back together. Oh, how they hate us when we are the hunted. Oh, how they hate us when we are the hunters. They have always despised the thin lined curves of a thick worded woman.”
— Michelle K., Thick Worded Women.
“There is no joy in lessening, subtracting from oneself the substance that makes you whole, full. Taking, taking, until she is skin and bone and submission. What a world we live in, where my body is a political statement. What a world we live in, where my body is a national outcry. Perhaps it is in protest that I no longer look down into the toilet like the barrel of a gun. Perhaps it is in protest that I demand not only to exist, but to overflow.”
— Michelle K., Protesting.
“I will not beg you for your time or try to convince you to choose me, the world is too big and I have too much to offer.”
— Unknown (via thoughtkick)
funny how when a “straight” person finds themselves surrounded by a bunch of gay and lesbian and bisexual friends they often end up realizing they aren’t straight it’s almost like heteronormativity and being surrounded by heteronormativity keeps people in the closet and being in an environment where gay love is more normalized allows people to connect with parts of themselves they otherwise probably wouldn’t be able to
you lose me when you make me feel like i’m not important to you
“You are so brave and quiet I forget you are suffering.”
— Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms (via books-n-quotes)
