Fandom Problem #4255:
A male character being praised by fandom for being "unashamed to be feminine"....even though, he never really actually is feminine? He's just...uh, nice?
I thought "popular mean girl" was a common enough trope for people to understand that "feminine" isn't a synonym for "friendly", likewise it should be understood that "masculinity" doesn't just mean being an asshole.
"feminine" has become a synonym for "super sweet and loving and caring and affectionate towards people, is capable of crying when very sad and showing emotions in general like a Person" and "masculine" has become a synonym for "angry, hateful, sexist, creepy, scary, mean, insulting jerk" and i cannot fathom why because i have encountered just as many angry, hateful, sexist, creepy, scary, mean, insulting jerk women as i have men.
women are capable of being extremely unpleasant. men are capable of being extremely kind. that doesn't make a woman more "masculine" or a man more "feminine." it's just how people are.
the ideal is for everyone to be sweet and loving and caring and affectionate towards people and for everyone to feel like it's okay to cry when you're sad and show your emotions, but not everyone does that, unfortunately. but to suggest that only women are capable of kindness/that kindness is an inherently "feminine" trait, or to suggest that only men are capable of hatred/that hatred is an inherently "masculine" trait is only going to make the problem much, much worse.
i hate the term "toxic masculinity" because it implies that all forms of masculinity are inherently "toxic." it's not. if you're a man, feel free to be masculine. that's a good thing. embrace it, because "masculinity" does not equal hatred. "toxic masculinity" is actually just a set of behaviors that all kinds of people choose to exhibit out of immaturity. we've just slapped that label on men and men only, and as a result, we're only focusing on the bad men and the good women in the world, when we should be focusing on the good and the bad men and women.

Fandom Problem #4258:
People who confuse overrated and bad
Just cause something is bad doesn't mean its overrated
I saw someone call a character overrated
Keep in mind she has like 3 fans in total
Fandom Problem #4267:
Fan: I think this character is queer, I'm gonna put you on the spot to please please please validate my headcanon
Actor not involved in any of the writing who just wants to avoid backlash: I mean sure, if that's how you want to interpret them then that's valid, i guess
Fandom & Media: Character is confirmed to be canonically gay!
Fandom Problem #4289:
acting like anybody has a "duty" or moral responsibility to like any piece of media because "it's progressive," or to dislike "it's problematic". I've seen posts listing "REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH [recent movie]" and all it does it list ways that it's not problematic. Okay that's great and all, but is it actually, you know, fun? Or interesting? "this has queer characters!" okay? and?
Kinda sad that people have started whipping themselves over the possibility that their enjoyment of anything might be in any way unethical that they need to wait for permission to be told when they could enjoy something guilt-free.
If the people on the project say this, I take it as a sign that good writing is so far in the backseat I'm fairly certain it's running behind the car trying to catch up.
me when i go flarping
the confidence in this mans posture is utterly unshakable i must respect him
never go a day while im on my period without thinking abt that one quote thats like 'period blood is the only one not borne of violence but is the only kind that is revolted' or something. changed my life
People literally scream, cry, faint, etc at the sight of blood, it's a common phobia, it's considered a biohazard, it's known to pass on diseases, and it's pretty much inextricably associated with pain, suffering, and death. This is the stupidest shit I've ever seen in my fucking life, this is the self absorbed whining of some cunt who's literally never been outside and spoken to another person before
Blood is nasty whether it comes from your hoohah or a wound, fucking get over yourself and clean it up instead of crying about being gwoss :(((
Regardless of that, it's a bodily excretion, show me one bodily excretion that isn't viewed as revolting.
Every single one of our exertions is a biological hazard that holds a plethora of diseases. Spit, Sweat. Pee, Scat, and Blood. And all of these things are met with disgust by the majority of the human population And Period Blood is explicitly a waste product. So no idea what this person is on about.
i would have preferred a finished hiveswap since we dropped a couple mil for that as, opposed to a very poorly written fan comic becoming potentially slightly less bad
Why are you single
I literally don’t leave my house and I don’t talk either
me on days when i’m in the lab doing gruesome medical experiments on human subjects
Today is the only day you can reblog this.
fan art of The Power Puff Girls
I've always wanted to make fanart using specific color palettes you find on Pinterest.
Those colors screamed at me that I should draw Stelsa. I love it.
Viewers like you!
they're everything to me
thank you
