Get Outta My Head

@death-do-i-part

After him You felt homeless. He said home is where the heart is and you were evicted. How is it your fault your landlord wanted the house for himself?

After him You tried reclaiming who you once were, Like reclaiming dried clay. No matter how hard you work at it it will never be moldable again. So you throw it on the ground and it shatters.

After him Your mind became the broken record, Replaying everything you could’ve done differently. The song could’ve played out beautifully if you didn’t scratch the damn record.

After him You realize how any room with him in it felt like a million people, Even if it was just the two of you.

After him Came his brother, His sister, You remember all the things he is besides the love of your life.

After him Came his children, Grandchildren who were raised by the women you couldn’t be, But there is a reason for that because

After him There is a way to breathe.

After him You’ll be moldable again.

After him You’ll find a new record to play And you’ll find who you once were Before him.
