“Star Trek” is very conservative, there is a conservatism about “Star Trek” that I think “Deep Space Nine” in a sense went against. It defied that conservatism. “Deep Space Nine” was not as black and white as the other “Star Trek” shows. It was different. It was not people in a rocket ship doing one-night stands on a planet to planet to planet, coming in and battling the evil aliens or some kind of monster or whatever. It was a community unto itself on the edge and this is what I loved about the show, every one of the characters on “Deep Space Nine” had a moral dimension about them. Each one of them was in touch with their dark side.

I recently started watching enterprise and I just have to say that the andorians are hilarious. They are a well established species in the star trek universe and they work well in the story but despite the fact that when enterprise was made they had the budget and technology to make good looking aliens they are stuck with the original design from tos. They've tried to make it better with the wiggling antennae but they still just look ridiculous and I love it.

Summer Glau, Alan Tudyk and Seah Maher on the future of their respective Firefly characters

Jayne would originally be really grouchy about the kids screaming at night when they’re teething and would try to avoid them and not let anyone see he spoils them rotten. And Kaylee and Simon would have a little girl who doesn’t like engines or medicine but she has Jayne absolutely wrapped around her little fiinger after he catches her disassembling one of his pistols at age five. And he takes her under his wing and teaches her all about guns and calls her his Little V (short for Little Vera) and the nickname eventually spreads to the rest of the crew.

Bless the Tolkienites

Where have you all been

We may have gotten lost. Twice.

We may have wandered. But not all those who wander are lost.

Some of us were awaking from the ashes.

Some of us were gathering courage in unlikely places.

Some of us stopped for second breakfast~

I don’t think they know about Second Breakfast, man.

What about elevensies?

Don’t think they know about that either.

Oh this fanom. I love you XD

The Tolkien fandom is amazing.
