So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)

Im curious.
one of my favourite things is seeing posts like this that are clearly a reference to some fandom or piece of media, but having no idea what it’s referencing, so i’m just reading it like. yeah that would be weird huh
I originally saw the post and was completely lost at what I could be, then I saw several people, including the person I'm reblogging this from mention that it was Ancillary Justice//Imperial Radch, and yeah it fits but it's a little misleading to say "childhood family car".
(by the way, the person I reblogged this from has some good tags that give a quick overview of that image message in more details)
Inspired by the fact that I am rewatching my first ghibli movie spirited away

idk who needs to hear this right now but if that mint isnt native to your area you BETTER not be planting it outside
if there is mint in the area, fire may not be sufficient. poison will not be effective, dig up the earth and bake it
um? mean to me??
im sorry my friend you are a hazard to the environment and my garden
GOD FORBID WOMEN DO ANYTHING
I'd rather have mint in my garden than stinging nettles and brambles everywhere.
reblog this if your blog is a safe space on april fools and won’t have any jumpers, screamers, or anything scary or anxiety inducing
how do you pronounce btw in your head?
- by the way
- bee tee wee (but i say by the way out loud if i have to read it)
- bee tee wee (& aloud too)
- bee tee double u (by the way aloud)
- bee tee double u (& aloud)

OK I HAVE A QUESTION FOR AO3 READERS AND WRITERS CAUSE IM SO CURIOUS!
Just listened to a podcast where two Americans said it makes no sense to write a date like Day, Month, Year because you don’t say “ninth of July, 2024” but “July the ninth, 2024” but in my language (Danish) you actually do say “ninth of July, 2024” which may sound awkward in English but sounds very natural in my language, and now I’m wondering how common it actually is in different languages.
How many of you say the day then the month and then the year when saying a date out loud in your language? Or do you have an entirely different order like year, day, month?
what makes john crichton a great protagonist is the fact that he’s the only member of the moya crew who doesn’t suffer from “wow these people are weird. glad i’m the only normal person here” brainrot.
as the token human surrounded by aliens you’d think it’d be other other way round but John isn’t about that life. He’s a sweetie pie.
Crichton is just like "Those people are weird… but then again so am I so who cares… I miss my planet though".
Edit: sensory issues can be counted under "otherwise medically unable to" if you feel that to be appropriate
