Some facts about Jesse McCree

• Joined a notorious gang when he was just a kid and became one of their most effective members

• Would have spent his life in prison if he hadn’t caught the attention of Gabriel Reyes, a man who had just saved the world from the Omnic crisis

• Was 17 when he joined Blackwatch and started running covert ops like fuck dude that’s younger than me

• Any education he received would have been either from other gang members, self-taught, or taught while he was in Blackwatch

• Thought of his time in Blackwatch as a way to make up for his past in Deadlock

• Can eliminate 6 targets with 6 shots

• Can hit a target from an impressive distance without the use of a scope or optical enhancement

• Spent a good portion of his life believing that Jack, Gabriel and Ana, people who were probably the closest thing he had to parents, were all dead

• Survived Deadlock and Blackwatch, and now evades both bounty hunters and law enforcement while still managing to do vigilante work

• Oh yeah, he does vigilante work

• And he does it despite knowing that he would be blamed for whatever happens

• And seriously, he managed to not only survive, but thrive in a fucking GANG as a KID

• Like, not only must he have been good with a gun, but he must have been crazy smart and persuasive, must have been able to read people at a glance and know exactly how they work

• Willing to tarnish his name as long as he saves innocent people in the end

• Does vigilante work because he believes it’s a way for him to make up for his past, meaning he must carry an incredible amount of guilt for what he’s done

• He’s more than just some Comic Relief Cowboy™

TO ALL HANZO MAINS

Yous lot are the GOAT aight. You hear? Hanzo may be that character that’s hated as fuck because of some bs reasons most the time. You may get judged by some random because you picked him in any mode of play. Quick play, competitive. All that. Fuck all of that.

You keep playing that precious boy you love dearly. Because you know what, he’s an AMAZING character when used well. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve gone gold elims, damage and maybe objective kills and time too. I’ve barely ever got any real respect for that to be quite honest but I could careless about that. I’m enjoying myself playing Hanzo and so should you. Fuck all the critisism you may get for even daring to lock such a hero. You play him because you want to. And no one can change that. Absolutely no one.

This right here is currently my best game as Hanzo. 49 elims. Was a bit of a shakey start but as the game progressed I got my shit together and WRECKED. Oh and this is console gameplay too. Tbh the fact that I’m gold doesn’t exactly help a whole lot. But hey, 49 elims as Hanzo. I’d say that’s quite the number with someone like Hanzo. People call him a sniper but to be honest, he doesn’t play like a good ol’ fashioned sniper would. He can be used SUPER aggressively compared to the likes of Widow in my opinion. So anyone telling you he ain’t a good pick, prove them the fuck wrong because people have shown that he can be absolutely destructive.

In the end, you love Hanzo, you play him and enjoy it. No one can stop that from happening. Hanzo mains or lovers are among some of the greatest peeps. You got people like @mysteryprof who is a BRILLIANT person for Hanzo things here on Tumblr and overall is willing to stick up for us all. Or @bewvitched who’s probably got more Hanzo time than you and does some neat streams. And of course some other cool peeps who love Hanzo like @katzcratch, @kiryuva, @quidditchfan, @fluttu, @sinkingwithallmyships and MANY MORE. I know I p much just did a mass shoutout thingy. But oh well these are some cool peeps ye know? So go out there and slay some fuckers with the best arrow slinging boy there is. And enjoy that of course that’s the main thing.

what she means: Hanzo Shimada is well written character who has a complicated past and doesn't deserve the hate he gets from the fandom. he may have attempted to kill Genji which is pretty terrible but he was manipulated since he was a child and was held to extremely high standards by the rest of his family that if he did not exceed he could have faced disownment. he clearly has mental health issues as a result of these events such as PTSD and depression and it is strongly implied that he is suicidal. and despite Hanzo growing up with the mindset/ideals of an eastern culture the fandom tends to compare him to their majorly western standards which is unfair in judging and understanding him as a character. while it is fine to dislike or even hate a character, people often jump to conclusions about Hanzo without considering him as a person and character nor his background

           He wasn’t sure what prompted the blond to tug him so forcefully into the alley they were passing. Sasuke had been quietly recounting the uneventful guard-duty in Suna (if only to tell Naruto how Gaara was doing, as he was aware the other hadn’t had the chance to see him in quite a while). He was in the middle of mentioning how he’d been the one to force Kakashi into arriving early for the meeting (and perhaps he’d smiled a little in faint amusement), when he was quite literally yanked sideways, losing his footing and almost falling. He steadied himself, about to snap, when Naruto drew him in for a kiss that immediately silenced him.

              Eyes fell shut, all thought stuttering to a sudden halt. Naruto was warm against him and he realized that the truth was–they hadn’t gotten a chance alone in a while. Not without Sasuke having to leave in the morning, or working on a report, or doing something other than focusing his attention on Naruto. And then there were the times where neither one was in the village at the same time. It was no wonder that Sasuke would be surprised like this. He hardly ever thought about anything beyond spending time with the blond. And yet, when Naruto pulled away for air, he trailed after him. Eyes fluttered open again and he stared at Naruto for a second–

                          “Miss me that much, dobe?”
