I don’t claim my depictions are like. Perfect. I don’t think any depiction of a trans person is going to 100% accurate to every single trans persons experiences. If my stuff is ever like grossly inaccurate or offensive feel free to tell me but saying I’m a fetishist bc I draw??? A trans guy??? And I’m not a trans man??? Is wild. Gender is complicated and just bc I would not personally date a man as a lesbian doesn’t mean I can’t think the transmasc experience is beautiful and that I can’t depict trans men in my art. I’d never tell my roommate he can’t write or draw lesbians. That would be dumb

Apologies for the crudeness at this point… This composition is enormous, so I really need some progress log to keep myself going.
Something that gets left out in some eclectic discussions of the celtic fire festivals is that they are the end of one season and the start of another
- Imbolg- Start of Spring
- Bealtaine- Start of Summer
- Lúnasa- Start of Autumn
- Samhain- Start of Winter
Which makes sense because in Ireland the seasons are generally defined as:
- Spring – February, March, April
- Summer – May, June, July
- Autumn – August, September, October
- Winter – November, December, January
Like if you went up to a random person in Ireland today and asked them what season February is in they’d say Spring.
Seasons are obviously different across the world, in fact many places don’t have 4 seasons so the misunderstanding makes sense but seeing people frame Imbolc as “Oh its not a spring festival its the just bringing back of light” is just factually wrong.

Omigods yes that’s what I used to make my trial binding corset for under a 1830′s gentleman’s costume! I adapted the Elizabethan Pattern Generator Corset to look more like the gentleman’s corset of the time as portrayed in satirical cartoons.
This was only the second pair of stays I made, but it already made me practically flat and was quite comfortable. I didn’t even full bone it and it looked like this:
(don’t judge me for the awful way the boning sticks out at the top, I am by no means a corsetry expert)
People who are actually good at stays will be able to make things like these with no trouble, because if something made from old sheets and recycled boning can do this, imagine what you can do with proper materials.
Just for fun, here’s me in my gentleman’s outfit:
It basically eliminates my boobs, but leaves the hips alone because at that time the hourglass silhouette was fashionable for men as well. I’m not exactly flat-chested, so I’d say for a first attempt this one is very succesful.
