Home of the Fandom dreams

@dancingkirby / dancingkirby.tumblr.com

She/her. Age: 33. Autistic. Fandoms: I'm mostly posting Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra stuff right now, although I also post LoZ, Pokemon, Yugioh GX/5D's, and miscellaneous other things.

Contents of Sunlightheartstudio's Yugiowned! GX (To the best of Kirby's memory)

For those who are newer to the fandom: from about 2007-2010, there existed a series of videos on Youtube: Yugiowned! GX, Yugiowned! GX 2 Parts A and B, Yugiowned! GX Deleted Scenes, and later Yugiowned! 5D's. These consisted of a series of little clips of songs or other audio set to visual footage from the show. These were, IMO, hilarious overall, but unfortunately YT deleted them. Since it's been so long since then, I decided I'd write down what I could remember of these clips in order to preserve the Fandom Lore. For this first one, I actually think I got the order of appearance in the video right for most of them; the sequel has proven harder.

WARNING: Language and sexual references.

Almost a year later, I finally worked up the courage to admit it: I forgot Ninja Info Cards. :(. It’s been added in now.

why is it always crucify korok. roast korok on a spit. why is it never have a tea party with korok. treat korok to a night on the town

At your suggestion…my tea party with a Korok! (Except that there wasn’t any tea so we had to improvise.)

(Tears of the Kingdom spoilers but idk how to do a read more on mobile sorry)

It turns out you can accidentally play the game in the wrong order to some extent.

So… apparently Mineru is supposed to be a secret that you don’t stumble across until after the four main areas are dealt with. But the game makes no attempt to bar you from coming across that quest on your own. Which means you can fuck up delivery of the main storyline by exploring and rolling with whatever you stumble into. So that’s kind of a bummer.

I found this out solely because I was curious if there was a way to see better on Dragonhead Island and found out that the storm clears as part of the Mineru quest. Which I’ve already completed. So essentially I have to catch everyone else up to where I’m at to get that to trigger properly.

(I also came across the construct factory way too early and was like “this is clearly something for later I guess”)

I am glad I didn’t do Mineru last though because the Lightning Temple boss was definitely a better one to end on.

LoZ: TotK - Sky Island Fruit

I wonder what Fire Fruit, Ice Fruit, Dazzle Fruit, & Splash Fruit taste like.

I'm pretty sure we all know that Shock Fruit tastes like lemon & I think it'd tingle on the tongue like pop rocks, but what about the rest?

For the sake of worldbuilding, I need to figure this out.

Guaranteed, Splash Fruit is juicy af. Maybe it tastes like a combination of grapples, apples soaked in white grape juice, & white grapes soaked in lemon juice.

Maybe Fire Fruit are spicy? Possibly tastes like spicy pineapple & mango? I do think that if you were to remove the lattice & tear the actual fruit open, the juice that'd spill out would be on fire. Just liquid fire or napalm, but edible. I remember in the Wrinkle in Time movie that Disney did, the 2004 one, not the remake, Mrs. Whatsit pries open a fruit to spill its contents on a bundle of wood, the juice was on fire, which starts the wood on fire. That's sort of what I think it'd be like.

I'm not sure what Ice Fruit or Dazzlefruit would taste like either, but I think that the Ice Fruit would be cold & refreshing.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

I think that Ice Fruit tastes like those special extra-sweet grapes you can find at the store sometimes. E.g. Trader Joe’s Champagne Grapes.

pumpkins and spices

s. Link and Zelda have been staying in Kakariko for a few days and crave a pumpkin-filled meal. After buying a pumpkin from Olkin and heading to High Produce Spirits for some spice, they run into the store owner’s husband—Steen—Olkin’s produce rival! In a desperate attempt to hide the pumpkin they bought, Zelda stuffs the small pumpkin under her shirt… causing a grave misunderstanding. a/n: here's a ch 2!! I hope you all enjoy!

Ch 1 || ao3 (or u can read here on tmblr!)

Zelda can’t help but gaze at the creation in her hands in awe — it’s as smooth as ice, cut perfectly like a diamond. She had commissioned a glass pumpkin from Pruce’s glass blower friend — an exact replica of the pumpkin that brought her nothing but sheer embarrassment and horror just a week ago. For its size, she’s surprised by how light it feels. “It’s perfect, Pruce! It looks exactly like it!”

“Heh, my good ol’ friend delivers nothing short of perfection,” Pruce says with a proud smile. “He’s the best you’ll find in these parts, so don’t try lookin’ elsewhere!”

Tonight I was just supposed to be goofing off in Faron, but then a sky thingy fell right in front of me,so I decided I’d use it to go check out that storm in the sky. I was fully expecting it to just blow me away no matter what and I’d have to find some way to get rid of it to access the islands, buuut I made it there and accidentally stumbled on some Plot.

Looking back to a few days ago when I was trying to get some hints without reading the whole solution…this is what the Ring Ruins were supposed to guide me to, isn’t it? Well, I skipped that step. Whoops.

The music on that island is gorgeous, though.

Notes from Lurelin Village:

I finally took care of the pirates. It wasn’t too hard except that one Silver Bokoblin was hiding behind a house and it took me FOREVER to find it.

As far as the rebuilding went, I had been under the assumption that each task would be different…like fitting boards into slots and making a roof and stuff. It was a little disappointing when four out of the five tasks were “Put Alolan Exeggutor in the hole.” At least the reward was good. Now I can feel slightly less guilty about taking all the Palm Fruits.

Some scenery screenshots:

82 shrines, 270-ish Korok Seeds, 2 temples.

One of my favorite parts of Hyrule: the Mushroom Trees! I’ve been wondering exactly what they are since BoTW, but I saw the Hinox use a trunk as a weapon, so I guess they are trees.

IDK, I just thought this Korok puzzle looked pretty.

Link is very proud of this Wing Bridge he made to cheese the shrine crystal quest. Wing Bridges can be difficult to maneuver, but can also be used on some bodies of water to reach stuff.

Rauru’s Hyrule isn’t the first. It’s the 2nd (or 3rd in the adult timeline)

Let me preface this with a self-quote:

They absolutely post-hoc these games into the timeline. But the fun part is figuring out how they’re gonna decide to fit them in.

With the knowledge that I’m operating from that viewpoint, hit the jump and let’s talk how the events of TotK don’t have to retcon a single thing that came before if they don’t want it to:
