I mean, I still love the fact that we've finally got an HD — plus, the cutscenes sure are awesome, alright. Huge fan of how the Flora sprites look like, too. But with Clive..? The spritework looks fuzzy and horribly unsymmetric at times (like, abnormally so.), the 'neutral' expression looks far sadder whilst the 'sad' one looks downright bored, & pop-ups like these feel ... downgraded.
Also sad to see we've got no new content — in the story, at least. I've still got to farm Picarats to check out the Bonus stuff, but I don't think it'll have anything new either. Sad, I had hoped they've given Flora more screentime, or something ...
So! I was sad to see that they've (ostensibly?) changed (/degraded) this sprite in the HD version, so I went ahead and tried to redraw a sketch it;; Y’know, have him smirk and all.
Working on my Submission for UF's Contest~ Really wanted to contribute somehow to my favourite game, and, well — this competition is one way to do such.
Although, between you and me I'll be surprised if I'll finish this before the deadline.
Assuming everything goes swell, I'll be participating in this year's Art Fight on Team Sugar-! (Name's Dana for anyone who's also participating) and while you're unfortunately not allowed to simply use characters from Fandoms, Alternate Universe designs are permitted as long as they vary enough from the original, so I went on ahead and threw Flora into the mix! So, naturally, she got a drawing reference now.
I really want to add in more from the PL Cast, but it's a little difficult when most AU's of mine don't have them look too different,,, Alfendi and Emmy could work in the very same AU as Flora is in, albeit I'd need to tweak their designs more. Claire 'n Dimitri from another AU don't...seem different appearance-wise aside tiny changes so that won't work out. Maybe Clive could? Then again, apart from different colours and an earring that's not much change, is it now. Hrmmgnn.
Oh, and we've also got Clarissa, my OC in it — but I got a clear lack of original characters, and it shows. Regardless, I'm hyped on how it'll go~!
