it is past time we jettisoned the useless false dichotomy of introversion vs. extroversion and just accepted that everybody has a minimum amount of social interaction, failing which, they get really weird. and everybody has a maximum amount of social interaction, exceeding which, they get really weird. these levels are different for everyone, for a variety of reasons, and have no moral dimension. and that is all.

My take on the walrus knocking on your door versus a fairy knocking on your door thing is that I don't believe in magic or fairies whatsoever and I'd still be more surprised by the walrus. A fairy knocking on my door means I've made one bad assumption about how the world works; a walrus knocking on my door – in Saskatchewan, in February – means I'm wrong about a great many things.

i’m a firm believer that leap day should be a free day no matter what. i don’t care if it’s a thursday everything is put on pause for everyone and we all get to hang out and enjoy the extra day that only comes once ever four years. peace and love on planet earth.

It's kind of wild to me when people are like "this hero has no non hero friends" and firstly it's almost always false. But also. What would they make friends with normal people for?? Like sure Hal Jordan has pretty much one guy he knows that's not a Lantern but he spends 90% of his time in Outer Space. Barry Allen's friends are almost entirely work friends but he actively is frustrated by slowing down to talk to people why would he slow himself down further by limiting how much of his life he can talk about with people. Why does for example Superman and Batman's friendship count for less cause they work together? They trust each other with their whole lives. It's I think a bizarre exploration of super hero media to be like the lives outside of superheroing are their real lives. Like huh?? 95% of comics are about what they do as superhero and the other 5% about how they struggle to hold down normal lives because they're not normal people.

if you need to do something with your car (ex: adjust the AC) you should be able to do it based off of touch and minimal sight; without knobs and buttons for tactile orientation youre ... staring at an ipad while driving? awesome trend we've started
