gentle reminder: please make sure you’re regularly cleaning your water bottles, thermos, and kettles with antibacterial soap and warm water so you don’t get ill. this includes the inside of the container itself, the straw, lid, the outside and bottom of the container, as well as any crevices. rinse well. stay safe and hydrated, babes. 🪴💧

just saw a post complaining about how hard it is to find adhd resources for adults and one of the comments said “tiktok has a lot of adhd tips” as if telling someone with adhd to enter the algorithmic quicksand of perpetual dopamine hits isn’t the most insane thing you could suggest for someone with adhd

btw a 2022 study on TikToks about ADHD [link] found that out of 100 videos, 52 were misleading. 27 were only based on personal experience and weren’t applicable to others. 21 were classified as useful.

if you are going to TikTok for information on ADHD, a video you watch has a 79% chance of being completely useless and/or incorrect.

FOR ACTUAL ADVICE: Dr. Russell A. Barkley

This talk is directed at parents of children with ADHD, but a lot of what he discusses can be applied to people with ADHD in general. He’s an actual expert and devoted his academic career to helping parents and people with ADHD understand the disorder better.
