I know Tumblr’s beta is still full of bugs that make it more difficult to report bots. I’ve been talking about it with tumblr’s support, but they are pretty hapless, as usual.

If the beta was forced upon you and you can’t go back (some people can, some people can’t, it’s weird), and you don’t have xkit, I would recommend using your phone to report, it will be easier for you.

If you guys want to do a little easy reporting while Tumblr gets its beta shit together, you can have a look at this tag, which is pretty infected with bots:

You might have to refresh the page to see them though, because sometimes tumblr displays hundreds of bots in that tag, sometimes it displays none /shrugs

reporting bots since the update

I’ve had a few messages from you guys telling me that it’s much more difficult to report bots on desktop since the update and I agree:

it is more difficult to get to the page where the report option is available, and once you report, the page seems to lag forever and the request is never sent.

I hope tumblr fixes this soon, in the mean time, I’d suggest reporting mainly on mobile if you can, that hasn’t changed. More on this soon <3
