Take 10 minutes a day to sit and do nothing.

No phone, no TV. Just sit and do nothing. Sure some music is fine in the background. Sure it’s okay to look out a window or something.

I find it makes me feel better day over day to sit for 10 minutes and just do nothing. It feels really uncomfortable/unnatural to do at first. It feels incredibly long too. Life moves fast and all. Years come and go. But I swear, 10 minutes of just sitting doing nothing, emptying my mind, tends to feel like a long time.

Nice to do. Try it.

Ask a person you are dating what their values are on dating/marriage, kids, religion, politics, and other non-negotiables of yours in the first few weeks. Waiting for the “right time” results in unnecessary heartbreak due to emotions being overly invested months down the road.

Professional house cleaning is cheaper than you think and can relieve stress in your relationship

Depending on your lifestyle, twice a month may be enough to keep your living space clean enough. This can offload chore burden as well as the resentment burden in many relationships. A cleaning session can run between $80-$150 depending on the size of space. Completely worth it in the long term.

When eating at someone else’s house, intentionally take small portions of everything - it is easy to politely finish everything they made for you even if you didn’t like it, and it is flattering to ask for seconds of the things you liked.

Before buying something, ask yourself two questions – “Where will I store this thing?” and “How difficult will it be to clean this thing?”
