This white girl really thought she was saying something smart.
“Take him out!”
Get you a man who can do all three.

This is the best Leverage joke I’ve seen all year, thank you <3 Bless.
i used to pretend to be a horse at recess with this other girl no one liked but it got too weird for me after one day where she laid on her side and pretended to give birth to a foal and was making really agonized horse birth sounds
so disney is using emily gwen’s lesbian pride flag with no compensation, and she’s still in need of money. i implore anyone who cares at all about the lgbt community to donate to her instead of paying for fucking mickey mouse pins
Okay. This seems pretty insane if you don’t know what the existing state of terminally ill patients’ options is. So let’s go over that.
Terminally ill patients can sign up to be part of pre FDA approval trials for treatments which might potentially cure them. As these treatments are experimental, untested, not guaranteed to get results, and intended to provide profit to the medical provider in the long run, patients cannot be charged for these experimental treatments. As it should be. It’d be pretty unethical to get people to pay you to be your guinea pig for treatments which may not even help them.
This “right to try” law changes that. It makes it legal for terminally ill patients to be charged for experimental treatments. Furthermore, it removes FDA testing restrictions from the process. Currently a company which tries an ‘experimental’ treatment they know won’t work will get the hammer dropped on them by the FDA. But under this new process, medical providers would be legally allowed to provide ‘treatments’ they know won’t work, without oversight. This would legalize medical predation on terminally ill patients.
Labeling this bill ‘right to try’ makes it seem like terminally ill patients aren’t allowed to seek out experimental treatments right now. But they are! All this bill does is make a terminally ill patients more financially burdened and more vulnerable to predation.
That’s why the Democrats blocked it.
Thank you for explaining it
Reblogging for EXPLANATION
Yeah… let’s NOT let companies make terminally ill patients pay for “experimental treatments” they already know don’t work…
This is an important message.
I will never NOT reblog this.
THIS!!!!
THANK YOU. I NEEDED THIS
I keep telling young people I meet this. But maybe it’s because I look young myself that they don’t listen…
i know that “don’t harass people for being weird, they might be autistic!” is a fairly popular take on here. but as a Certified Autist, i’d like to add that harassing allistic and/or neurotypical people for being weird is also bad, and should not be done
and before you come in with “yeah, you never know who is and isn’t autistic, and you shouldn’t force people to out themselves!” i want to say two things: one, i agree. and two, even if you could magically avoid ever harassing a single autistic person, it still wouldn’t be okay to go after NTs for being weird. they’re people, janice. they’re allowed to be really invested in naruto
i have been thinking about this recently but i don’t think i’d have put it so succinctly or so well
“The Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, had four sisters who were ensconced in Nazi Germany, some serving as conduits of the Nazi party to German aristocracy. For example, Cecile was a Nazi Party member, Sophie named her son after Hitler and Margarita’s husband was German army commander. In fact, when Cecile was killed in a 1937 air crash, Prince Philip attended the funeral and was photographed alongside uniformed Nazi soldiers.”

Never has this gif been more appropriate
A vegetable is a social construct.
you know what? I hadn’t thought about it in a while, but I am actually still very upset that we never got to see John Boyega give an impassioned speech to an army of hostile stormtroopers, and partway through the speech just one trooper lays her blaster down and takes her helmet off, and by the end Finn has won them over and they all take their helmets off as the music swells, which signifies their change of allegiance and also reminds us the audience that underneath all those indistinguishable white helmets are people with faces and personalities and hopes and dreams and connections to the Force, people who will be led by one of their own as they rise up in rebellion against the fascist empire that treated them like interchangeable cannon fodder.
we should have had that in a movie! and we didn’t! and I’m still mad about it!
