we should bring back titles so i have a polite way to address people without having to call a complete stranger by their personal name like some sort of creep

while i love bitcoin very much, it has been an economist's dream for proving to everyone the downsides of a deflationary currency

gf is using text-to-speech bc sick and she has to type out the emoticons phonetically so it reads them correctly

being woke is about having a typing quirk. the more of a typing quirk you have the woker you are

one definite influence disco elysium has had on my political beliefs, it's made me start thinking of capital as a lot more fuckable

we should all aspire to the power and majesty of teenage emos who do their own piercings with a sewing needle

i am imagining that jean and harry are like horse and horse girl to each other (harry is the horse). you know how horses in the novels will bite and kick anyone but the horse girl because of the special bond they share? i like to imagine jean and harry are just like that, except harry is not nice to jean either :)

might get cancelled for this but i think the solution for being bad at art is to start drawing anime

Okay so what do you think is the best way to acquire a YAOI paddle. Obv can buy a wooden paddle but how do you print on wood like that. Sticker paper and an exacto knife? But I'd want glossy. Oh wait, I bet a craft store has letter stickers. It's all coming together

can't you just buy these online
that said if you want to make one yourself the ethical way is stencilled woodburning

you cant! also, the original yaoi paddle very clearly used some sort of sticker or printing, not stenciled woodburning

ANYWAY amazon does not seem to list paddles of this approximate shape. theres small square ones which are apparently a frat thing, but not thesr round ones with big fans...did the creator make custom paddles? like with woodworking? surely not. i really like this ratio of like half paddle half handle but it doesnt seem to exist, ittheyre iether mostly paddle or mostly handle. or way too short, these hae to be like at least two feet. someones gotta sell a paddle of these dimensions right

here's a paddle of approximately the right dimensions, or this one - searching "decorative wooden canoe paddle" is likely to get you good results

anyway if you want vinyl stickons like that your best bet is to use a cricut machine or something similar. your local library might have one you can use

yeah, the main problem is the length, the original yaoi paddle was 2.5 feet long and much shorter than that becomes too..."silly", i guess? this one is the closest ive found so far, its the right length, altho the paddle part is a bit short

probably-blank vintage paddles, roughly the right shape and precisely the correct length: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325446688400 (and at least one website says you should varnish below as well as above custom designs, so you might not even need to strip the finish); there are also, for some reason, a wide variety of vintage paddles of this length, reasonably priced, though most of them have logos you'd need to remove

nicely-shaped unfinished wooden blanks available in 26" and 36": https://www.etsy.com/listing/842313446/natural-wood-paddles-oars-various-sizes (you'll probably want pine for the closest color match)

adequate blanks available in 33", though you'll probably want to sand the edges rounder: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1136072220/unpainted-wooden-canoe-paddle

blanks from an actual paddle maker, the nicest of the lot by far except for only being available in 24": https://redtailpaddle.com/collections/redtail_paddle/products/24-unfinished

also of interest, i happened across a few sellers of laser-cut shapes in general (rather than paddles in specific) who take custom orders, so if none of the options on offer quite fit you could go that route to save yourself some woodcarving

complete spinning wheel kit with 3d-printed parts for $200 on etsy. progress really is democratizing access to technology.....
