I don’t know, we would figure out who the best replacement writer would be at that time.
That’s a nice thought, anon, but man, it’d be tough for ANYONE to follow Dan Slott on Spidey.
There are certain characters that need to be written by Gail Simone at some point. Spidey is one.
The cast of the original Star Trek is another.
