There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.

Crying babies. Crying babies. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, meant to draw out and kill civilians while also making it far more difficult to locate and aid children who are trapped or alone.

I got accepted onto long-term disability through my employer/the state, but that doesn’t take effect until August 1st because it’s based off of my resignation date with the district.

I’m making monthly $672.01 COBRA payments to keep my insurance until then, which I need for 100% of my nutrition and hydration through feeding tube and central line.

I have a zombie gnome on little stump by my front porch.

Today, I saw some kid walking to the bus stop, turn and come up my walkway.

Gently, he knelt down beside my gnome, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a smaller gnome with a rainbow hat. He carefully placed the little guy on the stump, then turned and went to the bus.

I went out to take a look and it looks like the little guy was hand painted to match the zombies facial expression.

Nobody irl told me i could be a trans woman, I found that all out online and even then it took me years to figure out a way to come out that wouldnt involve me being humiliated (it didnt work btw) so no I dont think a trans woman talking to me about gender would have been a problem and probably would have saved me years of torment but hey if more trans women existing is scary to you i guess it makes sense to not want anyone discussing it

its just like. its reached a point where pretty much all of us have either been subject to one of these callouts or at minimum had someone close to us subject to one. so of course we're going to have each other's backs. why the fuck wouldnt we.

They're not confused at all- they're mad.

Mad that they can't socially murder us anymore, that we're not there for them to use and put down and get rid of once they're sick of us. They're mad that we're acknowledging their tools of violence, mad that we're sticking together instead of letting them isolate us one by one. They're mad that we're giving each other worth that they can't control. They're mad that we aren't eager to be let into their mutual circles and discords so they can have a whipping girl. They're mad that we're giving each other worth that they can't control.

The dismissive attitude toward a certain stripe of "fandom discourse" is getting more and more irksome to be me because it completely – and, I suspect, wilfully – elides how transparently targeted a lot of this shit is. Sure, anonymously swanning into somebody's inbox like "it's pretty sus that you don't have a pinned post preemptively denouncing the hypothetical wrongdoing I imagine your mutuals might commit in the future" is ridiculous on its face, but pay close attention to who gets hit with the lion's share of this shit. It's a calculated harassment tactic aimed at specific visible minorities – mostly trans women this time around, though it's varied in the past – that explicitly relies on the absurdity of what it's proposing to escape serious criticism.

Like, shit, I have personally seen people play the "you're guilty by association because you follow somebody who follows somebody who had a bad take" game by tracing a path through my blog without breathing a word of censure in my direction in the process. I'd ask how that makes sense, but we already know the answer, right?
