Contrasting garden and backdrop. The small, raised bed, the rectangular shape of the lawn and the shapes, forms and flower colors of the plants chosen deliberately separate the existing garden from its woodland setting. The cultivated garden appears to be a protected, exotic area.

Happy Earth Day: celebrate by getting clean water in to Gaza!
(via unrwa): “Gaza: access to water is extremely limited and sanitary structures are insufficient to meet people's needs. Gaza's water supply remains at only 7 per cent of its pre-October 2023 levels.”
Gaza has been in a water crisis for months now, there is virtually no clean/drinkable/accessible water due to Israel’s occupation and siege.
With the summer months approaching, the temperatures in Gaza are rising (it will be nearly 40 celsius there this week) and the lack of viable water is going to continue to cause extreme destruction.
Here are some orgs to donate to that are getting water into Gaza/working on making water in Gaza accessible:

GAZA SOLIDARITY ENCAMPMENTS PERSIST: Heeding the call for escalation to demand divestment and en end to the genocide against our people in Gaza, three “Gaza Solidarity Encampments” are now set up across New York City at Columbia, NYU, and The New School. A wave of encampments has swept campuses nationwide, furthering the pressure on universities to stop investing in the zionist death machine. Students are reclaiming their campuses, braving what’s to come from repressive administrations, because they know that we owe Gaza everything, and that liberation is near.

“The more they try to silence us, the louder we will be!” Students begin chanting as an NYU public safety team advised for them to leave before they deploy NYPD to forcibly remove them. The encampment was recently set up and peaceful student protesters are threatened with arrest. A few pro Israel supporters cheered for the cops to remove the students.
NYU administrators are seen discussing with the police on a possible raid or other response to the encampment. Regardless of the response, it’ll only further encourage Palestine protesters to continue. If they only learn from Columbia.
Student protesters at NYU are given until 4PM to clear the area. Or else they’ll be given an “unspecified response/consequences”. It doesn’t appear the Palestine protesters are going to back down nor flee anywhere. A few Zionists remain.
NYU faculty members hold each-other hands forming a wall as student protesters and protesters for Palestine begin to pray. Words of prayer is the only thing heard amongst the crowd.
