One time a DM let me play a Venom inspired character where I played the host and my long distance girlfriend played the symbiotic alien. How we did this was set up a discord call where she could hear everything said at the table but I had one head phone in my ear and only I could hear what she was saying and if I wanted to respond I had to speak out loud. That was fun.

where'd you get your dog from? how old is she?

We didn't get her, really. She got us.

She was a stray. Showed up on our porch last August rail thin and terrified and starving. We put out food and water and a blanket for her and sat talking gently far enough away that she wasn't spooked and after about 3 days she decided that we were now her humans and she wasn't leaving.

Asking around to see if she belonged to anyone just turned up that she'd been wandering around the area for some time, occasionally getting chased out of barns with a BB gun (ASSHOLES)

She wasn't chipped. Vet thought she was about a year old at the time, give or take. She's probably 2 ish now.

She was also pregnant. 9 puppies. All were found good homes, and we spayed her after they were weaned so THAT fun adventure is never happening again.

My mom's friend/hairdresser runs a local dog rescue and apparently they'd been trying to catch her for like 2 months and failing. When she found out that we'd taken her in she texted me "HOW DID YOU CAPTURE HER"

My answer; "Chicken tenders and hot dogs"

(Also patience and not trying to push her but honestly mostly the chicken tenders and hot dogs)

She still has some reactivity issues with some people...mainly middle aged women, I suspect she had some bad experiences with one at some point...but she is getting steadily better with that with patient constant work.

peak art is when u were like six and u scribbled all over ms paint and then carefully paintbucketed in all the different shapes in the scribbles to make “stained glass”
