It's one thing to not trust in science. I don't understand how people can actively ignore the huge majority of scientists who've been working on vaccines and new technologies since long before Covid, are experts in their respective field and have proven over and over again during the last 100+ years that science does, in fact, work. Especially since most of those people have no problem to go on a plane or a highspeed train or into a fast car because "Well, I have no idea of how exactly an airbag works but I trust the engineers that it'll save my life". I just don't get it why all of a sudden everyone and their aunt claims to be a medical/pharmaceutical expert. But most of the time, I can simply roll my eyes and ignore those people.

BUT I draw the line at Nazi regime comparisons. I am German. I know our history. And it makes me so damn mad when people have the audacity to compare the pandemic to that horrible, horrible time. It happens here in Germany, too, anti-vaxxers protesting right alongside right-wing supporters nazis, yelling about how the Covid dictatorship must end, comparing themselves to Anne Frank or Sophie Scholl, and I want to scream at every single one of them.

The fact alone that you can protest, wave banners, write and spread your bullshit is proof that you're not living in a dictatorship. No one will force you from your home. No one will separate you from your spouse or kids. You will not be put into camps, forced to slave away, starved to death, executed.

If you're living in a democratic country, don't you dare comparing your life to the horrible times of the Nazi regime. People literally fought and died so that you can live freely and exercise your freedom of speech, but they sure as hell would turn in their graves if they heard this disrespectful bullshit.

Hey I've thought about writing some fanfictions for a while now but haven't really found the courage to do so...but I'm just gonna say screw it and do it. I hope they aren't too bad 😅
