The funniest thing about Omega, IMO, is that since she comes from a family of politicians, she's super classy and normally really nice but also prone to picking the bitchiest option when it comes to people she doesn't like.
For instance, I have a scene planned where the secondary villain (who works where she does and has been trying to recruit Omega forever) flags her down in public and asks her to join like always. But instead of compromising her identity, Omega spins her responses to sound like this girl is trying to ask her to be her side chick, because she knows the public sees her very sympathetically after leaving her abusive boyfriend, and waits for the criticism to come in. She can't cancel this chick for any of her supervillain stuff, but she sure as hell can cancel her for being an asshole in public to Olympia's sweetheart.
I love her so much.

"lesbian necromancers in space": 5/10. technically true, except that gideon isn't a necromancer and for the most part they aren't in space. can also be tonally misleading; implies a fun space opera adventure and fails to mention the impending emotional devastation. that being said it is iconic and (mostly) effective
"murder mystery in a haunted gothic castle": 8/10. MUCH better at capturing the tone and plot of the first book, but still a little off. imagine picking up the book because of this blurb and then watching gideon nav make a mean girls reference in the first 20 pages. the whiplash could kill you
"a locked tomb mystery": 5/10. nondescriptive and a little misleading, but i can't give this any lower than a 5 because the pun is very good. gideon would love this one and that should count for something
"gay goth among us": 10/10. i'm not even going to pretend like this one doesn't nail it. try and argue against this. you can't. captures the murders, the space-y setting, the queer characters, the tone and aesthetic, AND the contemporary humor. chef's kiss
"enemies to lovers 'i hate everyone but you' slow burn": 1/10. true if you squint. the relationship between gideon and harrow would make booktok weep

i don’t want tlt to become massively popular but i think it’s marketing was done dirty. it’s not necromancer lesbians in space as much as it’s a very referential, complex, religious allegory, critique of colonialism, exploration of gender and transgenderism. the ideas of souls and bodies as a prison and so much focus on bodily autonomy, women, power dynamics in various types of relationships as consumption and being consumed. and weirdgirls and cannibalism and yes gay people but also queerness and climate change and saving the planet and killing the planet and locking her into a frozen tomb. sorry

To be more specific, it was saying "Maybe the Harry Potter fan on staff has something to do with the transmisogyny", to which they did the not at all suspicious response of using never before seen moderation tools to silence said blog and post.

What ACTUALLY happened is a staff member was violently harassed as a pedophile because they drew HP and anime fanart.
People went batshit calling this woman a child molester, rapist, abuser. They tried to get her fired, tried to get her arrested, threatened her life, by the literal hundreds.
Staff then deleted the blogs of the people who started the harassment, and only them. The hundreds or thousands of dog piling fuckheads were left alone.
Presumably just so they can keep pretending to be the real victims.
You can't keep passing this lie around, people. It never happened.
