I always find it quite funny when American media has it so that, if Britain won the American Revolution, that even in the modern day, America would still be the single British colonial holding. Even when EVERY other British colonial holding has gained independence in one form or another.
Yeah, they would probably be a Dominion and after that a Commonwealth nation. It’s interesting how the 2 World wars would have taken place if America was fighting from the start. I am curious if Kaiser Wilhelm would go to war against the UK if America was a Dominion.
I’ve seen FB’s translator tool struggle with cuirassier in various ways, but this is a new one.
That’s a new one for me as well. And it’s a word that just doesn’t need translation in the first place.
World map of every battle in last 4500 years that wikipedia mentions.
Average European
I am pretty sure there were a lot of wars and battles in the other parts of the world as well but probably they werent recorded or there is no sirviving evidence of them.

По Нова година за пръв път правих баница. Получи се по-добре отколкото очаквах.
Merry Christmas from me and my mother's kittens in Kalomen, Bulgaria.
I definitely feel that there’s nothing majorly wrong with mixing historical real-world fashion together in a fantasy setting… as long as it makes sense. Especially with arrmour.
ESPECIALLY with armour.
Yeah, I hate it when they cover their inconsistencies with 'It's fantasy!' or 'It's magic!'. Logic should be present in any world if you want it to function properly. And that's not just for armour, it applies to everyrhing but it's most apparant with the bikini breastplates.
16, 26 and 29 for the historical Ask game (if we're allowed to ask several questions, that is).
Thank you!
Hey, sorry for the late answer!
16. Do you own some historical item? ( coin, clothing, weapons, books, ect) If yes which one is your favourite?
Yes, I have a lot of Bulgarian coins from late 19th / early 20 th c., some stamps from ww2 and the socialist regime, I have a lot of law magazines from early 20th c. - there was a flea market with a lot of books, that where I got 80% of books in my library. But my favourite is my Austrian cavalry sabre model 1904.
26. Forgotten hero we should know about and admire?
I would say there are a lot of forgotten heroes, especially in Bulgarian history, I made a post about colonel Kavarnaliev here
29. Great historical mystery you are interested in?
It's one related to Bulgarian history - the death of Tzar Boris III
Here's a good video about it
he pulled down his cat bed so he could lie on the underside instead
this is not my cat btw
they hate each other
A rare truce.
One of my mom's cats had kittens a few months ago.

Breakthrough Twitter Login Wall is another “what it says on the tin” extension. It stops Twitter from trying to force you to log in, so you can browse anonymously in peace.
Very nice extensions, I got most of them and I found this as well:
Pinterest-guest - it doesn’t require you to login and it doesn’t cover up the screen when you scroll down. That was always bugging me in the few times I visited the site. I got reminded of that because of the Twitter Login wall. Cheers!

Didnt know only a third of the Texas state is actually Texan.
this is so accusatory. those vile children never learned cursive!!! bitch whose responsibility was it to TEACH THEM???
I read that as more celebratory than accusatory. The curse has been broken
cursive is extremely useful for anyone who writes with liquid ink pens, anyone who enjoys taking handwritten notes quickly and with lower stress on the joints, and anyone who wants to read handwriting from the historical record. these are all really common situations to be in even for civilians, even in 2022. flipping over the photographs from your grandparents’ album and not being able to read what they wrote on the back is a bummer. i understand superficially the hatred of cursive and the condemnation of it as useless, but it is misguided. having hundreds of years of human output made illegible to you in a single generation is actually pretty alarming from a historical access standpoint. people should be mad they were not taught to read one of the major languages used by their recent ancestors.
Yeah, I still keep a notebook on my desk where I write some random stuff I would forget about in a month but it's still quite useful. You have absolute freedom to write and draw whatever you want with minimum resources - your notebook cant run out of battery!
