„but if you ban prostitution most of these women lose their income“
so you agree? most women in prostitution lack viable alternatives? so its difficult to exit when they want? its not actually a free choice but a lack of options? incheresting

Btw when someone says "don't talk to me like that, I don't know you" the normal thing to do is apologize for the perceived overfamiliarity and correct the behavior. Just in case anyone was wondering
what are you even supposed to do when youre angry. cant scream at anyone cos im not a dick. cant break anything cos i paid money for that. cant rip my hair out cos i need it on my head. literally what now
i love when dudes are like “of course i respect women, i have a sister and a niece” like what does that even mean. there isn’t a person on this planet who isn’t related to a woman like what is Your Point
i don’t know nyall. does this not make you wanna Go Cr*zy Go N-V-T-S Nuts?
Now show me a similiar map showing how many false rape accusations happen
Well, “false rape accusations” can be classified into 2 categories:
1. Unfounded, i.e., a report that has been proven false or a report that has been proven baseless
And 2. Unsubstantiated, i.e, any report that cannot be proven true because of the little amount of evidence available or issues with the victim’s cooperation and statement.
In a study done in 8 US communities with 2,059 cases reported, 7.1% were found to be false reports. Another study done in Boston with 136 cases, 5.8% were found to be false. When researches studied 812 reports, 2.1% was found to be false. In all of these studies, all the false reports were unfounded reports and unsubstantiated reports, in other words these are reports that cannot be proven but also simply deemed a false allegation because the victim “would not comply” or had “inconsistent statements.” (x) For a rape allegations to be processed as true, a victim has to do a lot of work on their part to provide that proof, which is difficult to do when it’s rape or sexual assault unless it was caught on tape or there was bodily fluids to be studied. This means that it is actually very easy for a rape allegation to be deemed false, even if it actually did happen.
It is also important to note that fake allegations rarely even lead to the accused getting jailed as a lot of you love to claim. “A useful article in Quartz by Sandra Newman points to research from the British Home Office showing that in the early 2000s, of the 216 cases that were classified as false allegations, only six led to an arrest. Of those, only two had charges brought against them and those two were found to be false.” (x)
Rape and sexual assault are reportedly the crimes that are the least under-reported, under-prosecuted and under-convicted. (x)
Fake rape allegations make up such a small percent of the rape allegations and out of that small percent, the amount that are genuinely fake, not only deemed so because the police called could not or would not look for evidence and/or the victim was being so maltreated they decided to withdraw the allegation, must be even smaller.
But of course, you don’t care. You saw a graph that showed the amount of harm women face around the world and your first thought wasn’t compassion, or worry, it was to ask said women to talk about the fictitious war going on against martyred men who get accused of rape.
Exhibit 2252
i get that drag is important to many gay men but whenever I see drag queens talking about makeup and shapewear and heels I feel like a farm girl watching marie antoinette pretend to milk cows while wearing silk in the hameau de la reine. like oh is this fun for you? are you having a good time? in your little fake farm? are you enjoying yourself? doing this thing that i get shit for not doing?
Bro why are you so salty about gay/trans people enjoying femininity in harm free environments? Just let people enjoy being feminine
It’s a long story based on decades of feminist theory that can’t really be summed up in a text post (I recommend The Beauty Myth for a good starting point! I’ve linked a PDF, just let me know if you want some more readings) but basically I believe that femininity isn’t just a set of neutral personality traits and aesthetic choices, but is actually a con set up to inconvenience women and teach us to subjugate our own comfort for male approval. Women don’t come out of the womb wanting to rip the hair out of our skin and wear bras that leave red marks at the end of the day and burn our scalps with curling irons. Like, why would we? That would be counter productive. It seems to me to be a system for men to gauge how well a woman is conforming to male expectations of women. That’s why people think women should put more effort into beauty when they think women’s rights are gaining ground. People who read about how women are making money and getting power suddenly get very concerned about women painting our faces and wearing heels. Personally, I refuse to bribe men into giving me rights on the agreement that I provide a pretty backdrop for them. So since I’m a woman, shaving body hair/high heels/restrictive clothing/femininity is a symbol of my oppression that I’ve unfairly had to embrace to get my fair share. So, as a member of an oppressed class (woman), seeing a member of my oppressor class (men) toy with a symbol of my oppression (makeup/heels/etc) is annoying. Particularly when they’re imitating my body (the thing they decided to oppress me over) by tucking/wearing corsets/wearing silicone breasts. So I made this text post comparing drag to another situation where a member of an oppressed class (a shepherdess in revolutionary era France) seeing a member of her oppressor class (the queen of France) toy with a symbol of her oppression (pastoral fantasy/fete champetre), especially when it was also common for wealthy women to wear a silk version of a shepherdess dress. This is an extreme simplification but like I said, if you finish The Beauty Myth and would like more readings just shoot me an ask!
Must be fucking nice enjoying femininity in a “harm free environment”.
Congrats on getting an experience that actual girls don’t get.

When Mary Shelly wrote "I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other" god I really felt that
I love plainly and specifically stating that men deciding to ejaculate inside of a woman is the cause of pregnancy and therefore they are the cause of abortion. I bring that vibe to the conversation that the everybody don't like.

People get so defensive over porn/bdsm/prostitution/surrogacy/exploiting women's bodies and their argument is always "she consented to it". They never think about the "consumer", or the type of person who would benefit from such a thing in these scenarios.
If a man wanted to slap his girlfriend and she was fine with it, you shouldn't just turn a blind eye and go "well she agreed to it", you should be asking why he would want to do such a thing in the first place. Even if she agreed to it, it doesn't make him any less worse of a person.
With bdsm, the question is "why does he get off on hurting a woman?" "Why does a woman in pain turn him on?" "Why would he willingly beat her?"
With surrogacy, it's "why would someone put a woman through the pain of pregnancy and childbirth, risk her getting pre-eclampsia, a perineal rupture, a prolapsed uterus, post partum depression, and dying just for a biological child, one who isn't even hers?" "So it's ok for you to not want those 'unsightly' stretch marks and scars, but you're fine pushing them onto another woman?" "Why is it ok to take advantage of a woman in poverty, where it isn't even a choice at that point?"
With prostitution, it's "why does he want a woman who won't say no to him or his abusive fantasies, a woman whose pleasure and comfort he doesn't have to care about?" "Why is it ok to make a woman have sex she doesn't want, ok to punch/slap/choke her just because he paid for it?"
With porn, its "why do you enjoy seeing a woman being raped/beaten/degraded, even if it is "simulated"?" (Rape or "forced" is one of the most common porn categories) "These are still real women, why is it so easy for you to dehumanize them for a fantasy?"
Men’s mental health month is coming up in June!
Reminder: Men don’t deserve advocacy from women. Men do not care about women’s issues. Men do not speak up against male violence against women.
“It’s mens mental health month and I see no women speaking out” Don’t look at women. Men created the system men are suffering in.
Another reminder: The male suicide rates are only higher than women’s because men are more likely to chose violent methods, their attempts have a higher success rate. Women attempt far more. (Four times the rate of men) When women attempt and fail, it is because they chose a method that is less likely to traumatize those they are leaving behind, and because women have been conditioned to care about how they look, they still wish to look pretty in death. (Women usually attempt by using drugs or carbon monoxide poisoning, meanwhile for males, it is usually a firearm or hanging)
Men literally go out of their way to fetishize and pornify women's mental illness. I see no reason why we should focus on theirs before we fix the issue of ours.
And don't forget that "revenge suicides", murder-suicides and family annihilators are also counted among "male suicide statistics"
my five year plan? read a lot of books. visit museums. walk through woods. stand in a river. adopt a little kitty. drink lemonade while sitting in a rocking chair on my porch.
