psychosis needs to lose its negative connotation, its a thing that happens. you are far closer to psychotic episodes than you think and we need to all know how to deal with them properly

I always say that psychosis is a natural part of human experience or state of mind. And guess what, non psychotics get MAD when I say that. "No, its not natural or normal at all! Dont normalize it!" Guess what happens when you haven't slept in a few days? Psychosis. Guess what can happen when you're too stressed? Psychosis. Guess what can happen from physical conditions? Psychosis. Psychosis is the same type of normal that any other negative state of mind is. Someone experiencing depression due to circumstances? Normal. Someone dissociating during a stressful event? Normal. Psychosis isn't different. ANYONE can experience psychosis and it doesn't even have to be a disorder. Psychotic disorders are disorders due to the frequency and intensity of psychosis.

People need to stop demonizing normal human experiences

The war in Gaza has stopped

Congratulations to everyone who has been patient and persevering with us. I thank you all and send you my best regards. I am very grateful to you, my friends. You have been with me for almost two years. The war in Gaza has stopped

Three days from now the crossing will be opened. We have little left for the Nasser family campaign, only 8,000. Please donate to them, my friends. Please, I do not want you to leave them in this suffering and tents. Just so my family and I can escape, please just donate, it makes a difference, donate from here, please share and donate my friend, you will only lose a little 😅

Some of you say Ibrahim, I get paid tomorrow and I can help out more tonight now, would 15 to you and 15 to Nasser be helpful or would it be best I gave 30 to one of you? I know it isnt a lot, but it is what I can afford until work. Guys, if you can donate one euro, really donate. Anything helps. Just donate, please. The crossing will open.

Please let us think for just one minute. Life there will be exhausting. There is no medicine, food, or even water or infrastructureLet us save Ibrahim and his family and Nasser and his family together. The crossing will open soon they say Pleas donate

Guys, I don’t know how to thank you. The more you donate, the more my love for you increases. I don’t know how to repay the kindness. I can only say thank you. But in two days the crossing will be opened. Just donate to Nasser’s family so they can get out of this suffering, please. Sharing helps please

They talk about a ceasefire, but our suffering hasn’t stopped. The first rain of winter fell on my injured parents in the tent as my little brothers shivered in wet clothes, whispering that they’re cold.

If you’re reading this somewhere warm, please don’t scroll past us. Replace today’s comfort with a small act of mercy, your donation could mean warmth and life for my family tonight.

Every drop of rain reminds us that survival here depends on your kindness. Please share, speak about us, and help me keep them safe before the next storm comes.

please share and donate, aboud really needs us!

Oh God… there’s heavy bombing right now and many have been killed. The ground is shaking — please, don’t stay silent, share and speak about us.

please donate ❤️

The war has ended ✌️💚🇵🇸

Peace be upon you, steadfast people of Gaza — your patience has written history.

This photo was taken on March 11, 2024, forty-five days after we returned home to the south carrying one hope: peace. But silence broke suddenly, war returned harsher than before, and we fled once more from a land where danger never sleeps.💔

If you believe in peace — put a heart ❤️, share this post , and donate today. Every act brings us closer to saving lives.

Miss Major, one of the mothers of the trans liberation movement, has been in the hospital for 10 days with sepsis and a blood clot.

She has looked out for us for generations, now it’s time to look out for her. Donate if you can: fundly.com/missmajor

Update from Miss Major's partner: "Miss Major is at home on hospice. She is comfortable and surrounded by love."

Donations and good wishes still needed. Anything above and beyond the needs of her care will go to continuing Miss Major's legacy through Oasis, the retreat for trans people she built.

"I would want my legacy to be: If it ain’t right, fucking fix it, whatever it takes,” Miss Major Griffin-Gracy said. “I’d want to be remembered for trying to do the right thing and care for all people.”

Like, the appropriation of AAVE is *a* problem, but it's a part of a much bigger problem of white people hearing and mindlessly repeating anything they hear that tickles them a little. That's how we end up with actual nazi slogans turning into memes.

And you all feel so entitled to the own everything that you can't handle being told there are certain things you just shouldn't say.

some examples from the notes

i think MORE characters should be rape survivors. i think more characters should be csa survivors. i think more characters should be dv survivors. i think strong and noble and attractive and charming and brilliant characters with indomitable spirits should be survivors. i think the most powerful characters in the world should be survivors. i think characters who are cultural icons should be survivors. i think victims and survivors should see ourselves in the most admirable and beloved characters around! i think we should be protagonists!!!

#‘it’s so unnecessary’ . okay . god yea this one drives me CRAZY. people will yap all day long about how it's "unnecessary" to make a character a survivor like do you think it was necessary for any of us to be abused or raped irl? was it narratively essential? did it teach the audience an important lesson? why do we, who have to justify our experiences and existences and reactions all the time in real life, also have to justify why we should exist in fiction? people act so repulsed by the thought of us. i've really fully and truly had enough of that. there is nothing so uniquely disgusting or repulsive or unspeakable about our victimhood or our survival that justifies this obsession with keeping the reality of our existence hidden

Dear friends, donors, supporters, and well-wishers,

We are a group of people from Sudan who fled our homeland due to conflict. Initially, we were over 500, but after a long and dangerous journey, only 120 of us made it to South Sudan. Sadly, not everyone survived, and it breaks our hearts to see our numbers continue to decline. Now, we are 110 people, desperately trying to reach Uganda for safety.

We are urgently seeking your help to make this journey. We have been stranded here for a long time, facing starvation and a lack of medical care. Many of our mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers have already passed away. With no one else to turn to, we are reaching out to you for support.

To reach Uganda, each person needs $500, which will cover:

• $300 for transport

• $70 for food during the journey

• $120 for basic survival needs after arriving in Uganda

Since we are far from South Sudan’s capital, Juba, our journey will take four days. First, we must reach Juba, then travel for two days to Uganda. Once there, we will not stay in the capital, Kampala, but move directly to other areas for safety.

With 110 people, we need $55,000 to complete this journey. We also have 17 dogs and 8 cats, and while we would never want to leave them behind, we will do our best to bring them with us.

We could have moved earlier, but our GoFundMe has received only small donations, which have helped with medical care but not enough to escape.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW—TO SURVIVE.

• A $500 donation can save the life of one person in our community.

• A $1,000 donation can help two people or even more—perhaps a child and a grandmother.

• Any amount will contribute to someone’s survival, as donations add up to help each person make it.

We understand that $55,000 may seem like a large amount, but it is not just for us—it is to save an entire community.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON’T REACH $55,000?

As a community, we have made a heartbreaking decision: If we don’t raise the full amount, we will still attempt to move forward. However, we will have to vote on who gets to leave—prioritizing children, grandmothers, and people with disabilities. The rest will have to stay behind, hoping for another chance. It is a heavy decision, but we have no other option.

The profile picture on our GoFundMe was taken when we first arrived in South Sudan. The second image in this post shows our current reality—the shelter we built while living here. https://gofund.me/12c12ab7

Thank you so much for your donations, which are truly saving lives. Even the truly small donations are making a big difference, and if you cannot afford donating, reblogging is a huge help. We appreciate your time and kindness in understanding our desperate situation.

May you always be healthy.

The Crying Community

From Sudan → South Sudan → Destination: Uganda

one of the more depressing things about Online these days is the number of otherwise sensible and compassionate people who will share posts where the whole sentiment being expressed is "people who don't leave their house enough are annoying unfuckable ignorant losers" bet you can imagine how fun that feels to see as a person who can't really spend a lot of time out of bed. i dont know man i just feel like plenty of the cruelest and least self aware people on earth are widely traveled with a diverse array of active hobbies maybe going outside isn't a cure-all for bad takes. and in general i wish that more people would own up to the fact that, no matter what your intentions are when saying it, "people who don't go outside much" is always going to primarily describe disabled people.

Anonymous asked:

r there any aspects of Black culture that u wish more ppl talked about/appreciated openly?

All of it! But especially music!

The thing is, people appreciate Black culture openly all the time, they just refuse to recognize it as Black. "Gen Z Slang"- AAVE. Black. 2015 to present KPop- Black American music culture. From the dance routines down to the instrumentals. Hell there was even an afrobeats wave!

Popular music in general has been heavily impacted by Blackness. They'll complain about Black people in country, but I can hear a snare drum and bass in your instrumental. You love music from Latin America and I literally hear the presence of West Africa and of workers songs. That Paramore song everyone loves, gospel! Some of your favorite white musicians studied Black ones! Lofi- thank both J Dilla and Nujabes! All that Persona music- JAZZ!

I wish people weren't so disgusted by the idea that Black people were involved with their favorite things, that they had to fight against it. "Why are you always bringing up Black people" why are you mad that Black people had something to do with this thing you claim to love? Why does that not inspire a great respect in you? You ought to be grateful, or put my stuff down!

fuck i think i left my arcane talisman of +2 jumping in one of the village’s many random large breakable pots

FUUUCK when you told me to hide the Golden Idol of Divine Resilience I put it on a ledge only accessible with a boosted jump....

dude we are fucking screwed

i dont think whites understand how being white makes literally everything easier.

it effects everything.

being trans is easier when youre white.

being gay is easier when youre white.

being disabled is easier when youre white.

being a woman is easier when youre white.

being autistic is easier when youre white.

oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.

you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.

never forget this.

three things:

1. it’s true

2. white people get pissed when i bring this up/wear this shirt

3. the comments to this thread melted my fucking eyeballs seriously why the fuck are y’all like this

white people you don’t need to say you’re white when you reblog this btw. you don’t even need to mention it btw

On this day, October 7th, everything in our lives collapsed.

Since that moment, we have not known safety, warmth, or even a bite to ease our hunger.

I was injured in my shoulder and had surgery, and the metal plate inside still causes me pain every day.

My little daughter Lama was injured in her hand, and she still suffers from pain since that cruel day. DONATE NOW

My daughters Lina, Alma, and Lama grow weaker with each passing day…

Between hunger, fear, and illness, every moment is harder than the one before.

Please, don’t ignore these words.
