For 11 days, Azerbaijan has illegally blockaded the Lachin corridor, the ONLY road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the rest of the world, disrupting their daily supply of over 400 tons of food, medicine, etc. The people are being starved and dying from lack of medical care, there is no food in the grocery stores and families have been left stranded on either side. This is becoming another genocidal effort against the Armenians of Artsakh and we need all the international pressure we can get to lift this horrific blockade. people who work in entertainment have seen none of the benefits from the massive amount of money - and advances to technology has just made the expectations higher and faster. The amount of times ive heard a new tech thing was gonna change the industry and make the artists do more/go faster and have it amount nothing but stress is..WELL , ITS A LOT OF TIMES.
Look at where its got us. This isint a -maybe- future this is happening right now. the entertainment industry is notoriously contract based when it doenst have to be, and its for reasons to pull the rug out from under creatives and save a buck whenever useful. This is all about people making more money ,it has nothing to do with investment or sustainability. If you think that they will not continue on this track you’re wrong
People are already paying for mashup AI art and they dont CARE that it scrapes the internet for content - i mean hell how many times do you think people just use images on google and have no idea of copyright? The fight is already hard enough for people to actually respect what we do even when its within a REDONKLY commercial space already let alone indie artists.
This is about all artists coming together and supporting eachother. Visual arts, music, poetry, storytelling, animation, film. Dont be a scab - if you are ever remotely interested in holding a career in any of these things then you will understand why this is important.
Support the strike, support the unions, and please for the love of everything listen to the absolute screaming of artists about AI. This isint about art snobbery, its not about advancing tech - its about how COMPANIES TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT AND OTHER THINGS. These things are not utilized for the workers - and to think so is being woefuly ignorant.
Hell ,even storyboarding programs with the capability of editing means that storyboard artists have had way more expectations on their job because if it can be DONE why dont we DO IT. So now your key poser, timer , storyboard artist and editor are now combined into one. Fun. (obviously not always but its an example of how stupid the scope creep has gotten)

have followed me in the last couple of days, I block them.
