good
1500s crowley was an unscrupulous colorman who sold artists faulty paints that would discolor within weeks
which is how he came into acquaintance with his GOOD FRIEND ;) leonardo da vinci
imagine aziraphale coming across a random snake and assuming it’s crowley and he starts talking to it about all sorts of things and then crowley walks up and is like “what are you doing”
gabriel trying to fit in with humans every time he goes to earth
hey good omens artist PLEASE don’t stop drawing your headcanon designs for az and crowley!!! we love them so much!!!
i mean BY ALL MEANS draw the show versions too, but i feel like the headcanon designs are such a core part of the fandom. and seeing them die out makes me sad
Good Omens is even funnier when you realize Gabriel is the angel who told Mary she was pregnant with Jesus
Imagine this guy
showing up to your house like, “hey guess what?”
good omens things that didn’t make it into the show that aren’t that important but i’m still sad about
- crowley stealing aziraphale’s food
- the other horsemen of the apocalypse
- aziraphale calling literally everyone ‘dear boy’
- the drunken conversation about the bird and the mountain
- crowley scaring the shit out of some policeman
- ‘You think?’ said Crowley, trying to hit a hedgehog and missing.
- pepper beating the rest of the them up when they first met
- aziraphale saving crowley from a stray bullet at warlock’s birthday party
- crowley’s love for ‘golden girls’
- people threatening to burn aziraphale’s bookshop and aziraphale very politely disposing of them forever
- crowley killing a duck and bringing it back to life because aziraphale was judging him
- aziraphale setting a traffic warden’s notebook on fire
i think another reason crowley despises the 14th century so much was because, as we know, crowley and aziraphale are keen on picking up the ambiance of certain places. aziraphale comments on how much love he feels when they drive to tadfield, although crowley doesn’t notice anything (and that was just the love of one person!).
i think crowley is more susceptible to picking up on people’s fear or uneasiness—–he has to be in his job, it’s an asset. living in a century of mass death, famine and pestilence had to have overstimulated that. imagine walking outside and being bombarded with the misery of an entire village’s sick and dying. the apprehension and consternation of those healthy, but watching loved ones fade away every hour. imagine carrying all of that, feeling the emotions of dozens of plighted people for so long. imagine how crushing that must be for one person to process and handle.
