It’s easy to feel pressured into attending an event, take back your time and schedule and learn to say no! Practise saying no and it will get easier over time.

Since it's about to be new years eve soon I want to remind everyone that this evening really does not have to be the biggest adventure party experience. Dinner with your parents? Awesome! Board games with a few friends? Nice! Watching a movie alone and going to bed early? Yes! Taking care of your pet? Good! Going to the party that does not seem as great as you expected? Well, there are so many other nights that can be better. We always force ourselves to have a wild and crazy life changing night but in the end it is just one night of so many more, do what you want to do, do what makes you feel comfortable.
Are you hurting right now? I’m sorry. Times can get bad. Life can sometimes be down right shitty. Maybe you relapsed for the first time, or even the tenth time. Maybe you had a panic attack and isolated yourself from friends and family today. Maybe you’re someone who thinks they don’t have any friends or family to care about them. For whatever it is you’re going through, I want you to take a deep breath, fuck it, take 5 deep breaths. In through your nose and out through your mouth. Relax. Remain calm. You can do this. Life will go on and you need to be around to see what happens next, okay?
