Headcanon that Van Gogh has long, matted hair hidden underneath his bandage.

When brushed and straightened it reaches past his shoulders.

The reason for this is because, ever since a certain ear injury, he dislikes having scissors or razors or anything like that near his head.

He’s also too depressed to really care about himself.

Fortunately, he is able to contain his hair with his bandage and a couple of bobby pins so no one notices.

While painting, he will tie his hair back into a small ponytail. If anyone found out he would probably die of embarrassment.
