we all joke about wwx being ressurected and treating it like being begrudgingly woken up from a nap, but there is also the underrated factor that it wasn't even a good nap. like yes he says he was a quiet and well-behaved little ghost, but he very much did die a horrifying death that would have turned anyone else into a ferocious vengeful ghost and thus lived 13 years in what was essentially an undending living nightmare according to mxtx herself
and he STILL woke up like "man wtf 😩 now i gotta get up and do stuff"

If Lianfang-zun thinks a murder is wise I trust him to have thought things through better than I could and as long as he doesn’t charge too much extra, I’m on board
sometimes i think about how all we know about Lan Yi is that she was the only female Gusu Lan Clan leader, and because of that she faced so much opposition she had to develop a new technique specifically for murdering people, which may sound a little too much until i tried to imagine myself being a female clan leader in a cultivation discussion conference and i immediately felt the wrath of god in my veins

On a somewhat related note what is really starting to annoy me about modern songxiao is how fucking BORING they’re usually written. In canon they are doing something extremely radical with their lives and they have dedicated their lives to doing good and helping people no matter the personal cost.
Modern songxiao should be at least one or two of the following:
-flat fucking broke because they refuse to work jobs that make the world a worse place so they mostly work at nonprofits and stuff
-live in a van and go where they’re needed
-have been arrested/tear-gassed for attending protests so many times that they have literally lost count
-vocal anarchists/leftists/socialists/pick your poison etc just, POLITICALLY AWARE SOMEHOW PLEASE and NOT liberals bc canon songxiao has mostly rejected the system and have decided to work outside it
-spend so much time volunteering and trying to help people in unofficial capacities that people who know them genuinely wonder when they SLEEP
Like come on you guys these two have so fucking few canon personality traits, how do you forget about the part where they are utterly and completely devoted to making the world a better place???

Might be able to plan an event for all we know but honestly I'm not optimistic: WWX, LWJ, WN
may I suggest:
Could plan a last minute party from nothing: JGY, JC, JYL, WQ and WN (as a unit, given they actually do it in canon!)
Could manage a complex event with enough time to plan: LXC, NHS
Could delegate effectively and play their role well: NMJ, JZX, WX and WC
Not fit for polite society, brings nothing to the table: WWX, LWJ
@autumnslantern may I suggest:
Could plan a last-minute party (homey and welcoming) from nothing: JYL, WQ and WN
Could plan a last minute High Stakes Event Of The Season™ from nothing and make it both sumptuous and completely society-appropriate: JGY and JC
