In case you haven’t already noticed, I’m taking a bit of a break from the socials lately.

I’m actually doing surprisingly alright mental health-wise. But online interaction consumes a lot of my spoons, and right now I’d rather spend them working on my personal projects, and it’s nothing I can share at the moment.

But yeah, just wanted to let y’all know I’m not dead, and remind you that even if you feel like you’re not accomplishing a lot lately - just doing something is enough.

Was browsing around for random D&D ideas, and misread "demonologist" as "dermatologist".

Now I'm contemplating what skincare would be like in a fantasy world. Especially for demons or places like the Underdark, where environmental conditions would play a strong factor.

What kind of RAW spells or abilities could be used for cosmetic purposes? Is there a spell for sunscreen? What is a mind flayer’s morning routine?

Now imagine a D&D party going on an epic quest across the world to fight monsters. Not to save the world -- but because diluted black pudding can be used to craft a LEGENDARY moisturizer.

There’s a website out there called Green Screen Animals, which is just as the title says. Basically a big collection of various animal species in motion, such as running, jumping, vocalizing, ect.

Aside from your standard cats, dogs, hawks and horses; they also have some more obscure animals such as servals, caimans, and alpacas; as well as bats, otters, fish, frogs, and even centipedes.

Full disclaimer is that it’s hella expensive if you want to use the raw footage. But if you can work around the watermark, it’s super useful when looking for specific poses or angles.

I feel like a common misconception when it comes to lucid dreaming is that being aware/conscious in a dream is the same thing as being “awake” in reality.

The best way I can describe it is it’s more like some kind of pseudo-consciousness.

Where I’ll be aware I’m in a dream, have full control over my body, be able to hold conversations, and even be able to pull out my notepad and write something down when I see something cool -

...But not have enough sense to realize the notes won’t be there in the morning
