Imagine waiting for the coast guard or whatever to show up and instead a replica of 18th century merchant ship pulls up and tows you to the coast.

pov: you’ve been transported to the 17th century

I'm crying. Here's a photo of a sailor from the Götheborg watching over the little sailboat in tow:

From the story:

We repeatedly emphasized that we were aboard a small 8-meter sailboat, but the response was the same each time: "We are a 50-meter three-masted sailboat, and we offer our assistance in towing you to Paimpol." We were perplexed by the size difference between our two boats, as we feared being towed by a boat that was too large and at too fast a speed that could damage our boat. The arrival of the Götheborg on the scene was rapid and surprising, as we did not expect to see a merchant ship from the East India Company of the XVIII century. This moment was very strange, and we wondered if we were dreaming. Where were we? What time period was it? The Götheborg approached very close to us to throw the line and pass a large rope. The mooring went well, and our destinies were linked for very long hours, during which we shared the same radio frequency to communicate with each other. The crew of the Götheborg showed great professionalism and kindness towards us. They adapted their speed to the size of our boat and the weather conditions. We felt accompanied by very professional sailors. Every hour, the officer on duty of the Götheborg called us to ensure everything was going well.[...] This adventure, very real, was an incredible experience for us. We were extremely lucky to cross paths with the Götheborg by chance and especially to meet such a caring crew. Dear commander and crew of the Götheborg, your kindness, and generosity have shown that your ship is much more than just a boat. It embodies the noblest values of the sea, and we are honored to have had the chance to cross your path and benefit from your help.

"Our destinies were linked for very long hours" is just knocking me out.

I hear my mom shrieking downstairs, shouting up to me about “THE CATS! THE CATS!”

I run downstairs, thinking someone has died or something and see THIS:

I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO PUNCH SOMETHING TO GET OVER THE ADORABLENESS

They look like they’re about to break out in a musical number

Prompt #1034: IYO (18)

Imagine your OTP where both of them have a piece of jewelry that symbolizes their "friendship", and it was just for fun and definitely not serious. But when one of them loses their jewelry, they start to realize that it (and their relationship) meant more to them than they thought.

Kao can't find the golden bead Al gave him for his braid and turned his room upsidedown. Jaw tight, with a fierce scowl etching itself to his face. It was a mess and the longer Kao can't find it, the more he exerts unnecessary strength to his grip. Destroying the furnitures.

He can't lose it.

He can't possibly lose it.

That thing was– his.

It's given to him by that awful idiot, and—

"Oh dear," Kao snaps his gaze behind him, seeing Al, still in his pajamas by the door. "Renovating your room so early in the morning?" Al chuckles, stepping into the room that looks like it got wrecked by a raging tornado.

"Don't. Move." Kao warns, growling.

The human shouldn't step inside, the splinters– if Al tripped somewhere in this mess, he'll get hurt.

"My, my, Kao. You look positively fuming. Perhaps a nice shower can amend that~?"

But Al easily brush off the glare sent his way, sidestepping the clattered objects on the floor. Carefree, oblivious, and heartachingly fearless. Kao hates it. Hates how disarming the fragile human is, how he doesn't consider a wyord worth a speck of caution. Hates how Al trusts him so easily.

Kao immediately rushes forward and catches the chef when he slipped from a sheet, annoyed at his instinct to keep the human safe.

"Thank you, Kao!" that smile the idiot sends him is blinding.

Kao looks away. Throws Al out of his hazard of resting quarter. "Stay put."

"How about I join you? I know a thing or two about decorations~"

Al doesn't listen, of course he doesn't.

Kao sighs, pushing his hair back, "I'm not renovating my room."

"Oh?" Al tilts his head, peeking behind Kao. "So you're just in the mood for cleaning? I must say, it's not looking very well."

"No." Kao groans, blocking the way. "I dropped... something. Look, it's none of your business, I'll deal with the mess myself. Just, leave me be."

"What are you searching for?"

The bead you gave me.

"Nothing important." Kao curtly says instead, pushing Al away. "Go away. Now. You're distracting."

"I can keep a lookout, who knows, I might just found what you dropped faster than you~" Al sing-songed.

"I don't need your help."

As if he'll let this idiot finds out. Hell no. He's never going to live it down if Al figured out he's ransacked the room for that small insignificant bead. It's humiliating.

Al pouts, and Kao ignores the upcoming whining and complaints for keeping secrets. Al will get over it.

"Oh, alright." Al finally relented, "Before that, here."

Kao raises and eyebrow as Al takes something out of his pocket, but he habitually held out his hand, knowing it's futile to reject whatever item of the day Al is randomly giving him.

His eyes widen when Al places the bead he's been looking for.

"Why do you have this?" Kao asks incredulously.

Al blinks, fuschia eyes looking cluelessly. "You asked me to hold it for you yesterday before bed, remember?"

...he forgot.

"I'll go prepare breakfast now, if you still can't find what you dropped, nat least head down and grab a bite okay?"

Al waves his hand and make his leave, oblivious to his housemate twitching eye.

Kao let out a long suffering sigh, clenching the bead. His head went blank when he can't find it so he completely forgot about everything else. Damn it. Now he's going to have to deal with his room looking like a shipwreck.

"F**k, I hate him."

So he says as he brushes his finger over the glinting gold, quirking up a faint smile.

This is mine.

At least, the things that awful idiot gives alone, Kao can possess and claims as his...
