Chapter text:
The muscles in your forearms ache as you drag your hand cart, stacked with cases of soda and water, up the ramp at the back of Fennel Fields.
You wheel your final delivery of the day straight into their break room, as usual, and park your cart beside the vending machine, ready to start your restock. You’re greeted amicably by the staff, who know you well enough that they’re not surprised to see you.
But one particularly familiar face spots you from across the room and practically leaps off his chair. Adrian Chase looks forward to your weekly trip to Fennel Fields, and today he can’t help but notice the glow on your face from hauling your delivery. He wonders what else makes your face glow like that. He bets he could.

like yeah there goes princess zelda and her appointed swordsman, no they arent dating but yes they sleep in the same bed and will spend the rest of their lives together but no it isnt romantic but yes they love each other and are endlessly devoted to each other. they communicate solely through visions and self sacrifice and if you get rid of one the other will kill you with their bare hands. hope this helps <3

Their love wasn't just made real because they kissed

So, I was thinking about how Gabriel says “wherever Beelzebub is” is his heaven, and Beelzebub says the same thing back, only they say wherever Gabriel is, that’s their hell. And it’s honestly cute and sweet, but I also find it funny because obviously both heaven and hell suck. But I was also thinking about the look on Aziraphale’s face when Gabriel says that, how it clearly resonates with how he feels about Crowley.
So, I started thinking, what would their equivalent sentiment be? Because neither of them particularly like their respective head offices, after all. It simply wouldn’t have the same effect for them to say those things. In fact, it might have the opposite meaning for them.
And then I remembered “to the world” and it hit me. They love the world. That’s the whole point. They’re against Armageddon because they love the world. They love humanity and they love music and they love dining at the Ritz and fine wine. And most of all the love sharing those things with each other.
So, no, Crowley is not Aziraphale’s heaven and Aziraphale is not Crowley’s hell. They’re each other’s world.
