some of y’all need to realise you can be an “ugly fat hairy dyke” and still be a femme
sometimes i see people perpetuating this idea that femmes are only pretty, dainty, gender-conforming girls, even when they’re trying to advocate for other lesbians and i just think you’re missing the point a little
best tag addition to my post, thanks @eurphrasie

I love this picture because even 70 years ago, way up in the Arctic in a culture very different than my own, a 17 year old still had the same “Dad, please hurry up and take the damn picture” expression that characterized every picture taken of me from 2001-2007.

As funny as this is, it's absolutely disgusting that one person, one single human being, can lose the GDP of a reasonably productive country (according to 2 minutes of googling, Greece sits just outside the top 50 in terms of GDP) and still be one of the two or three richest people in the world, with a 12-digit net worth.
Due to the negligence of my father’s case worker, my authorization paperwork for my job was not filed and did not go through. This left me with a paycheck almost $400 short, and we will not be able to live on this with the bills we’re scrambling to catch up on. I’m asking for $300 to be able to get 2 weeks worth of groceries for my dad and I, cat food and litter, personal hygiene products, etc. for background I’m a disabled trans person caring for my disabled bedridden father. Anything helps. Thank you.
"You wearing a collar in public is bad cuz I didn't consent" you wearing a bracelet in public is bad cuz I didn't consent to it.
Yall don't really have a right to consent to other peoples clothes.
What's next? Boys aren't allowed to wear dresses cuz conservatives don't "consent?" Trans people don't get to wear gender affirming clothes cuz people don't "consent?" Women don't get to wear pants anymore cuz you don't "consent?"
"Wearing a collar is sexual!" OK and? There are people that get off wearing certain clothes, are you going to restrict what men and women are allowed to wear by deciding those clothes are inherently sexual?
You ignore parents abusing their kids in grocery stores, you ignore the homeless people begging for money, you can ignore the gay people in collars and stuff.
“Isn’t it weird to wear a collar in public to show you belong to someone?” You wear a wedding ring, your husband doesn’t. A catholic priest wears a clerical collar, does God?
I can’t help but laugh at all the “wearing a collar/walking someone on a leash is inherently sexual though!” comments because when i was a wee goth teenager, me and one of my friends used to walk each other on a leash in the mall all the damn time and guess what she’s a big ole lesbian and i’m an entire faggot there was nothing sexual about it at all. we did it because it made old people uncomfortable and we were so unbelievably cool and edgy.
it's always so fucking funny to me when terfs are like "how can you say trans women and women are the same thing! being born as a man makes you different!" because like. yes. trans women and cis women are different. so are black women and white women. and straight women and queer woman. and women from different countries and different socioeconomic statuses. there's diversity in the experience of womanhood? what a wild concept
incidentally, this why terfs tend to be white women. from the combahee river collective statement, 1977:
...we reject the stance of Lesbian separatism because it is not a viable political analysis or strategy for us. It leaves out far too much and far too many people, particularly Black men, women, and children. We have a great deal of criticism and loathing for what men have been socialized to be in this society: what they support, how they act, and how they oppress. But we do not have the misguided notion that it is their maleness, per se—i.e., their biological maleness—that makes them what they are. As BIack women we find any type of biological determinism a particularly dangerous and reactionary basis upon which to build a politic.
(emphasis mine)
"To argue that transsexual women should not enter [women-exclusive spaces] because their experiences are different would have to assume that all other women's experiences are the same, and this is a racist assumption. The argument that transsexual women have experienced some degree of male privilege should not bar them from our communities once we realize that not all women are equally privileged or oppressed."
This. This is the core of it. This is why trans-exclusionary radical feminism is rooted in racism, colonialism, and imperialism. It excludes the idea that there can be any other type of “woman” except one very (white, colonialist, imperialist) definition.
the most important binary categorization of humans is email checkers and email ignorers. as an email checker i think there is a certain savage nobility to email ignorers
as an email ignorer, yeah. we live in a state of nature
