Amidst all the excitement over the Gentlemen 18 Sesshomaru figure, another Sesshomaru figure, this one produced by Ghost Studio, was made available for pre-order. However, the style of the figure appears to be copied from fanart by Mmmilk.

Mmmilk responded on twitter, confirming that she hadn’t authorized her art to be reproduced this way

People really love copying Mmmilk’s work, alas. We’ve definitely seen it before. I suppose that’s what you get for being as talented as she is but it’s unfortunate that Ghost Studios either couldn’t come up with their own design or couldn’t have found a way to collaborate with her.

So with all the ish that Edward Elric goes through, did anyone else realize that a rock

is the thing that leaves a scar

FOR 21 EPISODES.

That’s a third of the series. For a third of the series- with every fight and battle that the Fullmetal Alchemist is in, it’s a ROCK that marks him for a third of the series.

Actually !! The scar that ed has during the rest of the series isn’t from a rock. He first gets it in his fight with the Slicer brothers in Episode 8:

and then we see him bleeding on his forehead:

Episode 9 we see him with the bandages:

Episode 10 when travelling to Rush Valley and Dublith, the bandages are gone:

AND THEN in episode 13 we see him reopen it in his fight with Greed:

More bandages in Episode 14 and 15:

episode 16 -  20 no bandages:

and then in episode 21 he reopens the scar AGAIN when the rock hits him

episode 22:

again with them bandages: episode 23 - 31

episode 32 he has the scar now:

and then its finally healed in episode 44!!

it healed along with his wound from getting impaled

both brotherhood and arakawa are amazing at adding in details like this its amazing tbh

arakawa actually mentions it in a manga extra that the reason he keeps getting cut there is because the skin is thin from the first blade cut so its really easy for him to reopen it while fighting.

I'mma add to this because Arakawa’s other reason was bc she thought it looked really cool and it was fun to draw the blood over his eye

Okay so I’ve been doing animations the hard, long, impractical way for always, and I go about this way;

Here we have the first picture, this is my base.

I then lower the capacity on that base and make a new layer and draw the next frame.I go on with this until I reach a complete loop. I then go back and make adjustments, before I make each frame an individual saved image and try it out in an editing program where I put all the frames in as pictures and then play. This was a 14 frame animation and if all layers were on at the same time it would look like this:

Aerick intensifies!!

Then I used gif maker to make it a nice hq gif and tadaa!

Drawing process!

“Process” because I wouldn’t call it tutorial because I just show what I do, not how I do it hmm…. Yes here we go:

1. A first sketch. I rarely do this one, since I don’t have the patience, but it’s great if you really wanna make sure that everything looks like you want. Work with lines at first, then give them meat.

2. A second sketch. Using another layer, give them faces and clothes and hair and other small details. Note that I change stuff as I go, which I thought looked better.

3. Lineart. Tweak a little more, and we have the lineart. This one is very flat and neat, pretty boring but weh.

4. Colouring. Choose some nice colours for their clothes and skin and hair. That dress is inspired by a very cute one I’ve seen around here btw, note how colours can change a thing completely!

5. Shading. Decide where the light comes from. I like to work with a very big contrast between shades and colour. Also more details in the dress!

6. Finish. Lower the opacity on the lineart layer, fix the shading a little around the lineart and smack on an alternative backgrund for some more colour on the piece.  7. Sit and stare at the picture and think about the things that I could have done better and huff in disappointment and draw something else. This has been the drawing process of Fia. Thank you come again.
