First I wanted to thank you for going out of your way and reading my question. I just wanted to know why Thor has more trouble with characters like Spider-Man and Wolverine than faster characters like Gladiator, Hyperion and Silver Surfer?

Well, you’re talking about two different kinds of fast here. Gladiator and the Silver Surfer can fly at interplanetary speeds through the void of space, journeying from planet to planet under their own power. That’s travel speed, essentially. But their reflexes in combat aren’t particularly any quicker than an ordinary person’s–whereas somebody like Spider-Man has reflexes that are far quicker.

That’s the point. Same logic with other characters. It’s not because you run or fly fast that you can fight fast as there is no correlation between both.
