USA Today reported that Oscar Isaac’s X-wing pilot from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will soon get his own Marvel Comics, a tie-in titled Star Wars: Poe Dameron and set to be released in April, written by Charles Soule and drawn by Phil Noto.
“Poe’s one of the breakout characters of the biggest movie of all time, to see people reacting to him so strongly now just feels like we’re hopefully in a great position" Soule said, while Noto added: “I’ve seen people on Twitter and Instagram looking for Poe Dameron in the comics. Now the pressure’s on us to deliver.”
The series will dig into Poe’s status as the top X-wing fighter jockey for General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and leader of a squadron with an important mission. But the evil First Order also has a goal of finding Luke, and a new villain from the organization is introduced as Poe’s chief nemesis. “Sometimes it can feel like the Star Wars universe is so well trodden and so many stories have already been told,” Soule explains. “But the way the Episode VII galaxy is set up, there are opportunities for new archetypes almost, and the bad guy we’re working with is going to feel fresh and cool.”

SONGS FOR SLUTTY GIRLS is an original feminist song cycle that charts the joys and the frustrations of today’s sexually liberated young women by looking into the intimate lives of three characters and the voices of society. The show features an exciting contemporary pop-rock score by Kailey Marshall and a libretto by Nessie Nankivell. The show has been previously developed in concert at Don’t Tell Mama and as a workshop at Pace University through the Pace New Musicals program.

As if Mondays didn’t suck enough, Cooties the brain child of Leigh Whannell (co-creator of Saw and Insidious) and Ian Brennan (co-creator of "Glee") found a way to make it that much worse. Also children. Zombie children. Lots of them.
All My Friends Are Superheroes is a humorous, light hearted, and original love story between a normal man and a super-heroine. Set in Toronto superhero milieu, in which the bizarre characters personify different human character traits.
100% would recommend! A great little travel book for a train, car trip, or a short plan ride! Its an amazing escape into a world of superhero’s!

When I got invited to attend the pop-up shop Creed's Collective charity brunch a few weeks ago, I didn't expect that I'd fall in love with a new brand of skincare. Because I'm going to be really honest with you guys, clearly I don't NEED anymore skincare in my life.
But THANN is a different kind of skincare line. Developed in Bankok, THANN uses sleek design coupled with natural ingredients to create a line of socially responsible products without losing the luxurious feeling of being pampered. THANN has a close working relationship with it's makers and distributors and is vehemently against human rights violations and animal testing, as well as using organic and naturally sourced raw materials (utilizing rice heavily).
Starting in 2010, THANN has also launched multiple charitable campaigns beginning with "THANN for Thai Elephant" in which a travel set was sold with 100% of proceeds being donated to donated to an elephant rehabilitation hospital in Thailand. At current the campaign has raised over THB 960,000.
The next campaign was for flood relief following a devastating flood in 2012. “THANN for Morning Meal” to support “Breakfast at School” operation of the World Vision Foundation of Thailand supporting children in a remote providence on Thailand. A limited edition aromatic candle sold at THB 600 (around USD $19.00) can aid daily breakfast for one child for 30 days and 100% revenue selling from the aromatic candle will be donated to the foundation. The latest amount donated is at above THB 880,000.

Whenever Red Velvet is sold out, Cherry red can be sheered out correctly but Besame red is a slightly warmer option.
NARS Cruella velvet matte pencil is a dupe, so is Shiseido RD607, Givenchy 316n Pourpre Inoui is too, if a little more rose leaning.
if you want a gloss, high end will be Guerlain Gloss d’Enfer 920 (this year’s Christmas gloss), or low end, Revlon Ultra HD 545, HD Carnelian (though it needs to be sheered).
Urban Decay’s Mrs. Mia Wallace is darker, richer.
Marc Jacobs Lust for Life is too shimmery, MAC Studded Kiss is too dark (and has the signature MAC vanilla scent, so fragrance-sensitives beware!).

Marvel's Daredevil
Premiering April 10th on Netflix, Marvel's Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Deborah Ann Woll. The series started their promotional tour at 2014's NYCC where Cox and Woll participated in a panel and a signing at the Marvel booth. Judging by the reaction from the clamoring fans at the events, it looks like Marvel has another hit on their hands.

CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST LISA ELDRIDGE APPOINTED CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF LANCOME
Coming off her amazing run as the creative director of Boots No.7, Lisa Eldridge has been appointed the creative director of luxury cosmetics brand Lancome.
Eldridge, who has over 1 million followers on youtube and is a personal favorite of ours, started her career as a counter girl at -get this- Lancome. No stranger to daring looks and sleek design, will fit right in with the faces of Lancome- most notably of which Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o and Emma Watson.
This seems to be the perfect fit for a brand trying to break out of the old school branding that has held the company back from capturing the younger generation as their target consumer base. In recent years, increased exposure by British makeup gurus including Eldridge, has brought the brand into the modern age, smoothly transitioning a generation of girls that grew up on juicy tubes into women with rouge in love stashed away in their pockets. I'm excited to see what the future has in store for the legendary brand.

Recently, I was at the MoMA Design Store and came across possibly the coolest book I have ever read. Super Graphic by Tim Leong is the perfect coupling of two of my favorite things: comic books and charts.
Leong beautifully represents everything you've ever wanted to know about your favorite heroes from Marvel, DC, Image, and every other comic maker imaginable! Infused with cold hard facts and more visual puns than you ever thought you could handle. And the informative graphs are seriously full of well throughout and clever stats. Wanted to know the ratio of green to purple in villains costumes? Done. Need a map of every superhero in NYC's "secret" headquarters? Boom.
It's honestly the coolest thing that I've bought in a while and you NEED to check it out.
