VISERYS I was the fifth Targaryen king to sit the Iron Throne, ruling from 103 AC to 129 AC. He succeeded his grandfather, the Old King Jaehaerys I. Viserys continued the prosperous peace and legacy of his grandsire, but the seeds for the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons that would later engulf the realm were inadvertently sown in his reign.
VISERYS II was the tenth Targaryen king to sit the Iron Throne as Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. He was the son of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daemon Targaryen, the brother and Hand of King Aegon III Targaryen, and the father of King Aegon IV Targaryen, Queen Naerys Targaryen, and Prince Aemon “the Dragonknight”. Reign 171 AC - 172 AC.
Prince VISERYS is the heir of his father, King Aerys II Targaryen, following the death of his older brother, Prince Rhaegar, during Robert’s Rebellion. The war turned Viserys and his younger sister, Daenerys, Princess of Dragonstone, into exiles from the Seven Kingdoms who can only plot to regain control of the Iron Throne. He styles himself as “Viserys of the House Targaryen, the Third of his Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm”, as he had been declared king on Dragonstone after his father’s death.

Sandra asked me to emphasize in this parallel how Hook and Snow are alike in many ways, and I just love this request because Hook and Snow are maybe the best example to how two people that were presented in the show in the most opposite way, ended up having a lot in common once you really got to know them both as characters.
Snow is the role model for kindness, heroism, and hope, and yet she was a bandit, can sometimes be sassy, or showing her displeased with someone by rolling her eyes. As the show evolved we ended up knowing that she also did some pretty shady stuff, like stealing a baby from her mother, or even killing someone in a premeditated way.
Hook is the role model for a pirate, a person who lived a life of an outlaw, he was at first even described as a villain on the show. Yet, along the way we came to realize that he has the qualities of a hero, he was always brave, but he ended up being brave for selfless reasons, protecting the people he loves, showing endless support and tender, and even a great believer in the power of love, and on many occasions he was the last one to lose hope.
I love how this show is constantly showing us that no person is completely bad, or completely good. Hook and Snow are both great examples for people that their heart is a good one, but lost their ways once in a while (the only difference is that one of them lost it more than the other). Despite the very different image that they have, at the end of the day they are more alike than some people think.
