I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it.
It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.

Why do people stop commenting on fics if they’re more than a week or two old? Please comment on old fics. Tell me you like my one shot from 2014. Tell me you like my old multi-chap I finished in 2016 that I spent a year writing. I will be fucking thrilled.
Fics are not social media posts. There’s no “stalking” someone’s “old posts”. They’re meant to be found and enjoyed years down the line. No need to be nervous.
AO3 is a library. Except in this library you can tell the writer how much you loved their story. They love when you do that. Please do that, no matter how old that fine story is…

First, I must confess I am behind on MOaM updates because life, but look forward to catching up on the last few chapters. It is truly one of the best stories- fanfic or not-that I have read in a while. Thank you so much for writing it and sharing it with us.
Now for my question. Do you have any plans to write a companion piece of any length that tells Pansy and Percy's story? Because I am so addicted to the way you have developed these characters and their relationship.

Actually outside of some outtakes I've already written (deleted scenes and such) I do have plans for only a Percy/Pansy companion piece set in this universe. Nothing else.
My alpha inceptioned the idea into my head last year and it's been living there rent free. It's already started in ways, completely laid out. It wont nearly be as long as Measure of a Man, maybe at max 8-10 chapters, but it will be in Pansy's POV and VERY--and I mean very--tentatively titled A Woman's Worth.
I won't start it in earnest until Measure is completed and I knock some stuff off my to-write list. And I won't post it until it's finished, as I need the official timeline to write it.

I am! OMG I just reread The Climbing Way over the holidays which I pretty much do every year. It remains one of the best fics I have read in almost (gulp) 20 years of reading fics across fandoms and platforms. You are an AMAZING writer.
