As it turns out, wishes really can come true– especially if you’re dreaming of witnessing incredible sunrises at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Photographer Nathan Hall had been thinking about this shot for over a year and was waiting for the right conditions. The perfect weather finally came this year, the morning after Thanksgiving. A break in the clouds produced the perfect light at sunrise. We’re so grateful for all of you who share your cherished moments on national parks, wilderness areas and national wildlife refuges.
