The Lizard and Killer Croc
A little bird told me fanart is how you make it BIG on tumblr, and while idk if this entirely qualifies, as they're mostly original designs, i thought i'd share some of my fakémon ! ^ these are whale sharks.
These fakemon are actually intended to appear in a collab project a friend and I are making, so they may appear with altered designs or cleaner renders in the future.
I hope putting so many of these in one post isn't a gamble lol. Even if, i think i have plenty more i could show sooner or later.
Gearing up for artfight, here's a new ref for a very old character! Müri(any pronouns) is part of a godly pantheon, being the god of mischief, mystery, and mayhem, among other things. The black and white markings aren't fixed, their skin shifts like a chameleon and can even turn invisible.

Revisiting my designs for the “fish” of birgworld
Most notable change is moving their “gills” to the tail, where they are completely covered by skin/exoskeleton in derived species, and water is pumped over them either by motion of the tail or with a siphon on the belly. The siphon also aids in expelling mucous and waste material as a defensive measure. They propel themselves in an up and down motion inherited from the paddles of the ancestral form (top drawing), most of which have been modified into internal gills in modern species.
Also worth noting; the mouthparts are shown at least partially extended in all these sketches, but they would normally be folded flat against the head or tucked into the mouth when not in use.

Two People of the Narrow Paths in the process of spawning. Following a lengthy song to dedicate the Garden, reproductive members of the pod release eggs and sperm in a slow, spiraling dance from the seabed to the surface. The fertilized eggs will develop into sessile yotici polyps, the 'plants' of the Garden.
These two display decorative scarification that marks them as past contributors to the Garden of the Narrow Paths, and displays pod and herd identity.
The camala is a domesticated camelid originating in the Ch'Chen Plateau region, a cold desert and plains south of Cynozepal. It is ridden by qilik and used as a beast of burden and source of textiles.
Their nostrils form a small trunk that filters dust and heats cold air entering the body. This species has pronounced sexual dimorphism. Males have larger trunks, a display feature and an amplifier for their mating calls. Males conflicting over mates will fight with sharp teeth, standing side to side and swinging open-mouthed at each other's necks and backs (protected by a thick wooly mane). The winner will often attempt to castrate a rival as it retreats.
