@clam-kid

What’s the theme of the posts? We may never know.

some time ago i introduced the phrase "food pact" to my friends as a shorthand for "i'll go make and eat food if you also make and eat food" and ever since then ive just started incorporating more pacts into my life. stay hydrated pact. stretch break pact. stop doomscrolling and go to bed pact. we need to bring this back in vogue more people should be making pacts imo

the best part of this is when you ask "who wants to do a shower pact" and you get a half dozen friends all rolling up saying "the pact is sealed". faustian behavior

There's a user called Erika Horn (@erikahorn.art) on tiktok who made a "duet me" challenge so technically impressive that all of the duets are exactly like this LMAO

my best feature is that I'm blindingly intelligent for about 30 seconds a day

I do not get to choose which seconds. they are not consecutive

in reference to that last post i reblogged, i should also mention:

PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR ANTISEMITIC PROPAGANDA IN ANTI COP ART/POSTS. PLEASE PLEASE LOOK.

right now, being anti-cop is NECESSARY, but some people use “anti cop” art to actually depict EXTREMELY ANTISEMITIC, DANGEROUS propaganda

look for:

  • references to “lizard people”
  • references to “zealot” “world controlling organizations” etc etc
  • SIX-POINTED STARS (MAGEN DAVID) ON POLICE UNIFORMS OR SIMILAR POSITIONS OF POWER
  • large, hooked/downward-pointed noses
  • kippot/yarmulkes on police/other authority figures (this one should be more obvious, but.. you’d be surprised)
  • references to israel
  • triple parentheses
  • iron crosses on “punks”

i totally, 100% understand the temptation to rb all the anti cop stuff you see. it’s a good instinct. but goyim NEED to look out for these dogwhistles. IT IS NEVER INNOCENT. IF YOU SEE THESE THINGS, IT IS NOT TRULY ANTI COP, IT IS ANTISEMITIC. IT IS COMPARING JEWISH PEOPLE TO POLICE.

just make sure the message you’re spreading is a good one. be safe, and keep your community safe (including the jewish ones).

I actually really like the thing when you're starting to get the hang of a new language, enough to understand and say simple sentences but you gotta get creative to get more complex thoughts across, like a puzzle. I remember a time in the restortation school when a classmate who wasn't natively finnish and did her best anyway dropped something and sighed, telling me "every day is monday this week. I have had four mondays this week." And I understood.

I don't think I speak much of spanish anymore, but in the nursing school training period I did there, I did manage to get by with making weird Tarzan sentences. I got a nosebleed at some point and startled another nurse. Not knowing the words "humidity" or "stress", I managed to string together: "This is ok. It is hot, it is cold, I have a bad day, I am sad, I have blood. This is normal for me." And she understood.

And sometimes you just say things weird, but it's better than not saying it. One time, I was stuck in a narrow hallway behind someone walking really slowly with a walker, and he apologised for being in the way. I was not in any hurry, but didn't know the spanish word for "hurry", but I did know enough words to try to circumvent it by borrowing the english "I have all the time in the world."

The man burst into one of those cackling old man laughters that they do when something in this world still manages to surprise them. He had to be somewhere between 70 and a 100 years old, and I guess if there was one thing he wasn't expecting to hear today, it would be a random blond vaguely baltic-looking fuck casually announce that he is the sole owner and keeper of the very concept of time.

"you've got six names and two pronoun sets in your bio, how should people refer to you?" easy. every time you want to talk to or about me you roll 1d6 for name and flip a coin for pronoun set. if you've got an INT stat of 15 or lower you also have to roll to see whether you survive my eldritch blast, but that's mostly unrelated

As someone who falls into 3 of these categories, I feel very called out by my own meme 😅

Alt text:

A meme image of 4 arms / hands reaching out & grabbing another hand's wrist, forming a kind of square.

Hand 1: Trans & non-binary folks

Hand 2: Bi & pan folks

Hand 3: Aro & ace folks

Hand 4: Neurodivergent folks

In the middle between them all: "Wait… doesn't everyone feel this way?"
