50 Unusual Date Ideas

Have an 80’s movie marathon.

Go shopping; pick out outfits for each other then wear them to dinner.

Cook a fancy dinner from scratch.

Watch terrible television shows and make fun of them.

Attempt a DIY project together.

Write letters to each other.

Have an impromptu living room dance party.

Make a blanket fort on a rainy day.

Look at old photos from when you were a kid. Yes, even the embarrassing ones.

Do something completely out of your comfort zone together, like go to a rave or maybe a sporting event.

Make a cheesy couple video to annoy your facebook friends with. You know the type.

Go out dancing (the classy kind, like swing dancing, not just jumping up and down and rubbing together in a sleazy club).

Learn a foreign language together.

Go window shopping.

Rent a movie you’ve never seen before, and watch it with the sound off. Make up your own dialogue and story for the characters.

Volunteer somewhere together. Relish in the feeling of helping others.

Visit a museum or a planetarium. Learn new things. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop.

Make up an entirely new game, like “True American” on New Girl.

Have a picnic in the park, on the beach, or in the woods. Lie on a blanket and look for shapes in the clouds.

Tell each other all the reasons you love each other. Better yet, write it down for times when it isn’t so easy to remember.
