I thought a rewatch of the show post movie would be fun since overall seasons one and two are the chill seasons for the most part
But between Knubbler being introduced, realizing Murderface’s negativity is a product of Magnus’ abuse, the whole fucking religion episode foreshadowing not just Mutderface becoming possessed later on but also Nathan’s fucking sheer panic at nearly losing him.
Crozier questioning the Tribunal and why they would claim the band were such a danger to the world despite doing the most fucking mundane boy shit most the time and realizing this cult just brainwashed Crozier into buying their lies and they always knew the band wasn’t a danger.
Seeing how far Edgar has come since the first two seasons
Seeing anytime Skwisgaar would be so mothering towards Toki or upset at the idea of Toki hurt or dead
Nathan’s ptsd from his classmates dying, his fear of his band dying and him being all alone
Charles dying for the band and now here we are with Charles once again nearly died for them in the movie but Murderface saved his life
The band all being so codependent with each other and how oddly endearing that is.
Like first half of the show was supposed to be light and chill dude lol
currently giggling as i imagine Brendon Small planning out the boys' character arcs for the movie and when he gets to Pickles he just thinks "hmmm what if he MOTHERED???"
and he just. goes with it

like yeah Magnus was a horrible person and all but. Nathan remembering him as a brother. Magnus' name crossed out in Nathan's list of people he can talk to. the brief shot of Magnus included in Nathan's flashbacks as he summons the will to fight Salacia; Magnus not portrayed as the murderer or bloodied corpse shown in prior flashbacks, but just Magnus as a man. Dethklok is a family, and they lost a brother
something about villains having friends and family who loved them. people aren’t born evil! there are people who remember them before they fell, before it was too late for them
